  Great Stay: Kelsey should not be fired

  Whenever I get a new location for work, I always make sure to check reviews online about the hotel where I will be basically living, the local foodie scene, and all other relevant things for the city. When I started here, I was looking over this hotel, and saw some review that declared a terrible stay. I filed it in my "Probably a Guest who screwed up and wanted to blame someone else." Sure enough, I think I am correct in that assessment. I have stayed here 7 or 8 times now, and every time, the staff treats me like family. The rooms are a good value and clean. Then location is central to most everything in Peoria. I know we all have bad days, but after interacting professionally and in passing personally with Kelsey, she, like the entirety of her staff, deserve solid praise. They run the hotel very efficiently and well. I have not used the pool yet, but there is one. They have free breakfast in the mornings. The Wifi is pretty good, and it is free. Overall, this hotel performs very well for its category and the manager (Kelsey) does a great job with everything.

  Business

  Our first time to stay here. We arrived around noon and was told no rooms were ready as they were sold out the night before. So we waited until 1pm and went back just to be told nothing was ready on the first floor yet. After a few minutes, I went to the desk to see if a rush could be put on our room as my husband was sick, the clerk said the first room ready would be ours. Another 15 minutes and we were in. It was a suite and we were pleased with it. I loved the coffee out front, the breakfast bar nice with a number of choices. Laundry room. On ground floor, fitness and business center. Bring your own water and snacks etc, my opinion, they are way over priced on the goods in their store.

  Give Chris and Ashley at front desk a promotion!

  Drove an hour further than I wanted to just to stay at a reasonably priced Marriott property and was so impressed by the kind wonderful service I got from Chris who entertained with many facts about the local Peoria area. Also Ashley was fantastic as I was checking out. Thanks you Springhill Peoria I hope to be back soon!

  Exceptional staff and great stay

  I checked in for one night on my cross country road trip and from the moment I checked in till I checked out the man and woman working the front desk were great. They were friendly and kept me stocked up with coffee for my room. Check in and check out was easy. The room itself was spacious and clean. The king bed was very comfortable. The area around the hotel is very nice with lots of dining options and there is a shopping mall across the main road. I will definitely stay again when visiting Peoria or just passing by in the future.

  Overnight for baseball tournament

  Im a Marriott member so have stayed in nice ones and no so nice ones. I always do a check for bedbugs, major issues, clean bedding, and clean bathroom. Overall, no big issues. The room just shows some wear on it. The room is pretty clean overall, but there is a lot of stains on the couch from spills, a crack in the AC unit, food drops on the wall, and long hair on the sink. No bedbugs and the bathroom looks clean/ great shape. Checking in was a breeze and the front desk was courteous. Covid has everything closed within the hotel so that is just an inconvenience. Workers are nice and room is clean. Not sure if we would stay here again. There is food and plenty of things to do right next door.
