    INMEJORABLE SITUACION Y HOTEL

A 7 minutos a pie de Bourbon St. a pie. El desayuno era variado y muy bueno. Las habitaciones limpias y muy espaciosas y colchón muy cómodo también. El personal muy amable. Tiene una terraza espectacular. Totalmente recomendable.

Good Location, Very Clean and Fabulous Staff

The staff here have done all the could you help make our stay enjoyable. From trying to get us in a room early to giving us free water while we waited. My husband and I did have a good laugh....we waited extra time to get a room with a view. The view ended up being a drained pool and the back of another building. However, the room is fabulous and again, the staff so helpful, we just got a good laugh and funny memory of our stay. We were able to walk to a lot of destinations including Bourbon Street. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Impeccable servive right in dowtown New Orleans- Michael Lambert

I had the pleasure of staying at the Springhill Suites Canal Street from September 24th to 26th 2020. The reason I made the trip to New Orleans was not for a great reason. I was attending a funeral of a past co-worker, so the trip was not one that I was coming to enjoy the city at this time. As I used to live in New Orleans for many years I know how southern hospitality is done down in the Crescent city. And I must say that I experienced the best customer service throughout my entire stay. Michael Lambert is to mention. I travel all over the country but Mr. Lambert was by far the most professional hotelier I have ever encountered. As soon as I walked in the hotel he welcomed me with a smile and a gracious warm welcome to his hotel. You could tell he loved what he does and he was proud of his hotel. I explained that I was in town for a funeral for a past co-worker in the hotel industry. He knew the team member that means he is connected to the community and just is very knowledgeable.. Mr. Lambert also adjusted my reservation to ensure I could stay in the same room the second night as my travel plans changed. Michael wants to learn all about the Hotel Industry. Not only is he a wonderful Front Desk agent he also is a Bartender for the hotel. I also noticed he pitched in wherever he was needed he is a team player. Michael has a bright future within the Springhill Suites Canal Street. He also will have a bright future in this industry. Michael is the definition of how service should be everywhere and good service is hard to find in any business now and days.. The morning front desk team was outstanding on 9.25.20. I did not catch there names however they should be recognized for there service. Hotel was very nice. It is a new property and the rooms are clean, fresh and modern they did a great job of cleaning my room per COVID guidelines. Every guest and team member had a mask on and I appreciated that as I felt safe. My two night stay was wonderful. I am so glad i decided to stay at the Springhill. The hotel is about a mile from Bourbon. The view on the roof is amazing it is closed now due to COVID, however I was able to look out the window to see the setup. I can say I will stay at this hotel when my travels bring me back to the city I love and used to love in. Thank you to Scott Campbell as he is the General Manager, I received an email from him asking how my stay was. That was amazing, you can see by his leadership that the team is so great because of how he leads his team. No doubt if you are planning to visit New Orleans choose the Springhill! Thank you to everyone! Peter Wenzell

Dangerous Place To Stay - Staff Completely Uncaring

My wife and I stayed at this property on October 19th and checked out on the 20th. I attended a class on the morning of the 20th. Before my wife checked out someone tried to enter her room. Thankfully she had the door block engaged. She asked the white male who he was and what he wanted. He did not answer. He was not wearing any identification. He kept trying to enter the room. He had a room key. She called the front desk and asked for help. First, she was told that they have her room on the camera and there's no one outside of her room. Our room was in side hallway where there was not a camera. She called back 2 minutes later when the person, who had a room key, tried to enter the room again. She called back and this time the front desk said it's housekeeping. It was NOT housekeeping. She called me and I asked her to call the front desk back and ask them to send someone up to escort her downstairs. The front desk refused, they flat out refused to do anything. I called the front desk pleading them to do something and they refused. I asked to speak to her supervisor, she argued with me for 2 more minutes before transferring me to the voicemail of Scott Campbell. I left a message for him to call me. Thank God my wife made it out of the hotel. The stranger had a room key that opened her door. 2 days later Mr. Campbell called me. He said that the person was maintenance and he didn't know why he wouldn't identify himself as a staff member and why he wasn't wearing any hotel identification. He offered to reimburse me for the cost of the hotel stay. I told him money wasn't important to me, that the most important thing was the safety of my wife and hoping that Marriott would be there for her when she needed them. They weren't, Marriott failed my family terribly. I asked on October 23rd for his supervisor to call me. To date I have not heard back from Marriott Corporate. My reference number for this matter is 240347919. So let me be clear - when an unidentified stranger tried to enter my room and my wife called the front desk asking for help, she was told: 1. We have the camera on your room and no one if there [WRONG!!!!!], then it was oh it's housekeeping [WRONG!!!!!] and finally, they refused to do anything except lie and argue with my wife and then me. I have waited a week for Marriott to call me. They have not. I may very well never stay at another Marriott property again. I don't want their money for service recovery, I wanted someone to be there for my wife when she needed their help. This property failed miserably on every imaginable level.

    Stay somewhere else

First impression is the large angry woman behind the customer service desk. Your rude welcome begins with the feeling that your arrival has inconvenienced the lady at check-in. Her tone and head gestures are enough to make you want to sleep with the homeless people next door under I-10. I really think being mugged in a back alley off Bourbon Street would come with more pleasantries than checking into Springhill. Dont bother complaining to management. The manager on duty, Demetrius, was standing there watching without a care in the world. Absolutely no intention of stopping his subordinate from arguing and talking down to the hotels patrons. The website and booking agencies list free breakfast. There is none. Do yourself a favor and pick a hotel with free parking. Our room had no view. Not a big deal since there is a rooftop lounge to hang out on. WRONG. It was not open and you arent allowed out there using your room key. The hotel was clean. I would rather have stayed in a dirtier hotel with good people than stay at Springhill.
