    Tres noche estupenda

    Estuve alojada en este hotel desde jueves hasta domingo desde que llegue sentí la diferencia con otros de macón ( todo los años voy por tres días a la asamblea de los testigo de Jehová ) la limpieza se siente desde que entra ,algo bueno no aceptan animales no hay temor de encontrar pelo en la cama cerca hay restaurante 'súper mercado y lo necesario para pasarla tranquilo además la habitación es grande tiene el toilette separado del baño algo bueno también tiene micro Honda nevera televisión solo le falta caja de seguridad .el desayuno está bien pero deberían poner queso jamón más variedad soló el viernes pusieron queso y jamón sábado y domingo hacia falta más variedad .de toda manera los recomiendo y el próximo año vuelvo a el .

    Much to Like

    This stay was just overnight - business trip. BUT we'll be back! The way we were treated reminded me of the good ole, pre-COVID days. Rather than using the virus to discontinue services, as much as PPE practical Springhill maintained...even enjoyed a hot breakfast. Tip of the hat to Victor at the front desk, as we left for dinner we casually requested extra coffee for the next morning. When we returned 90 minutes later, he remembered and had the coffee supplies safely bagged for us. Good hotel.

    If you prefer clean!

    I was impressed by the house keeping and grounds of this establishment but egress and ingress left a lot of room for improvement. I dont care for traffic noise but being so close to 75, there was not much way to get away from such. Always get a room on the frontside to minimize this noise. Had a lot of trouble with the TV remote that required leaving it on all night due to weak batteries in the remote. Discovered that the shower would not work even though I was in a handicap room with a bathtub. Even though there was a coffee maker in the room, there were no condiments nor coffee grounds for such. I dont think the thermostat on the wall was functioning as my wife complained of it being stuffy and hot all night even though it showed 65 degrees! Even throughout these mishaps I still prefer cleanliness over everything and in such respects, I was not disappointed. My experience here might lead me to try other establishments in the area.

    Nice newer property in Macon

    Had several rooms for a large group on a very busy weekend during our pandemic in the US. This property did everything they could to help (with being sold out back to back nights) The property was clean, well managed and tried to assist each and every guest to the very best of their ability. We will stay here again and again!

    A rare Marriott hotel offering a nice, free hot breakfast

    Overall, I like the Springhill Suites Macon hotel. For the most part, they meet the expectations/standards of the Marriott brand, but just needs a few improvements. Hotel Staff: The staff is very polite and welcoming, their hospitality didn't seem to diminish during the pandemic and is a very nice welcome of cheer to guests during hard times. I really appreciate how I was greeted and thanked for being a Platinum Elite Member with Marriott as well as being offered a welcome gift that comes with my status rather than having to ask about it awkwardly when not asked. Overall, the environment at the hotel was bright as all of the employees at the hotel seemed happy to be working there and the upbeat attitude really does spill over to the guests' experience. Housekeeping: For the most part, my suite/room was clean. What really impressed me was the foresight of housekeeping to provide plastic bags for the garbage cans in the toilet and shower rooms, which really helped with disposing of trash upon checkout. However, a few things went unnoticed by housekeeping. One, it was discovered that a previous guest may have hidden some empty sauce cups from what looks to be like from Domino's Pizza or some other fast food joint. It was hidden underneath one of the wrapped complimentary cups. I can see how it might have gone unnoticed if the cups appeared to be unused by the previous guest, though I would highly recommend housekeeping always checks. Two, the ice bucket appeared to have some stains on it despite being washed as it had water in it. Fortunately, I brought my own dishwashing soap and sponge to wash the ice bucket clean. Last, my boyfriend was sitting at the desk area one night and while moving his feet around on the floor, he got poked by a loose fishing hook in the rug that pierced through his sock and onto his foot. He mentioned the incident to an employee at the front desk that night and we brought it up again the morning we checked out. The employee who checked us out said they would leave a note on the manager's desk. While we appreciate the record-keeping of the incident, it would have been nice to have received a call to follow-up on the matter. A call from the hotel manager would have reassured us that the matter was being looked into and that measures were being taken to ensure housekeeping would be a bit more thorough as they go through each room. Amenities: Both the pool and the hotel gym was open, though I did not use either. But having the amenities available is a plus, especially when most hotels have them closed in the midst of the pandemic. I like the idea of guests being offered the option to use amenities and to adhere to safety precautions as a compromise. Free Breakfast: The hot breakfast offered at this hotel was great. I thought it was really smart that they had a hotel employee serve the hot food to hotel guests so that that serving utensils didn't have to trade hands between guests and to limit contact/avenues of possible infection. The server wore a mask and gloves, and each guest was given a plate and another on top should the guest choose to carry it back to their room to eat. The dining area was still open for guests to eat in. The selection of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurts, milk, granola bars, muffins, and hot coffee also made the hotel breakfast excellent. Definitely a huge plus as most hotels are not offering hot breakfast, but this one definitely does and the hotel employee serving the hot food deserves many tips for their help. Overall: I really like the Springhill Suites Macon hotel. The employees and atmosphere is nice, the free "hot" breakfast is a welcome surprise. Housekeeping overall is good, but just needs a few improvements. I also think more thorough follow-ups from the hotel manager when concerns are raised by guests would be helpful with reassuring guests that they are being addressed, and would most likely convince guests to want to return for future stays. But with some easy fine tunings, I can definitely see this hotel earning 5 star ratings. Overall, great hotel.
