    Dirty dirty dirty!

    PLEASE SHARE! I am a Marriot member and earn points with their American Express credit card. I used my points to book a room for my sisters birthday. Here are the reasons why I do NOT recommend Marriot hotels: 1. We arrived at the hotel early. I was told a room isnt available because they werent cleaned yet but they will call me at 1:30 to come back. They never called. 2. When we checked in I was told there is a $250 hold for the room because there are parties and damage done to the hotel. So you get penalized for others irresponsible behavior. If I knew this information before hand I wouldnt have booked that hotel. 3. Our couch had stains on it. I probably could have got someones DNA off of it if you know what I mean. 4. The toilet and sink were broken and it took an hour for someone to come and fix it. I had to keep calling the front desk to see when they were coming. It was late at night. 5. There were bread crumbs in our beds. 6. The room was not clean. Obviously. The bathroom door had dirt/ finger prints all over it. Youd think with a pandemic this would have been wiped down. 7. They charged 2 different credit cards for the hold on the room. My personal and my AE. My AE was unauthorized and they cant give me a reason why it was ran. 8. For breakfast they advertise a hot meal. We were sent off with a bagged breakfast. 9. There were beer bottles on the lawn of the hotel. Again cleanliness wasnt something they did well. 10. The furniture was coming apart. After all of this I asked the hotel for all of my points back. They couldnt give me another room that night because they were sold out. I called Marriot and they also refused to give me all of my points back and 3 days later I still have two pending transactions on my credit cards.

    Positive Experience

    Nice hotel with a really big room. The only complaint was the breakfast, which can't be really called breakfast. A lot of hotels are taking advantage of the Covid situation and instead of making something more or less decent, preparing "breakfast box" which is a joke.

    wonderful everything!

    This was a great Springhill Suites, like usual. We stayed here just when the world was beginning to go crazy, but oddly, you would never know it because the staff was so nice!!!!. Breakfast was nice and the location is great for walks or runs if you like being outside, and a good gym if you prefer to exercise inside. Overall, a typical nice Springhill.

    The bathroom was filthy; the floor/carpet, sinks, the lobby was unkept as well. Not my top choice especially with the health concerns rightnow??? Id expect it to be much better. The bed was made but the walls and desks were dirty not to mention???

    Not up to Marriott standards

    I usually stay at Hilton brand hotels. I thought Marriott would be an upgrade to Hilton. This property did not meet the usual standards of Hilton or Marriott. The staff were great and friendly. The breakfast was good given the circumstances. No hair dryers in the rooms, you have to request one. The hotel has been renovated, but a really crappy job in doing so. The hotel isn't the cleanest I have been in and given the circumstances it should be doing a better job. The price was about $100 for a Saturday night which is a bit lower than most around the area. Still not worth even that. I do a lot of staycations and this place I really didn't want to stay another night. I won't be back here. I will stick with Hilton.
