  Great place to stay for a business trip

  Was pleasantly surprised by the size of the room. It wasn't one of the studio rooms but still quite large on the first floor. The trip was a quick single night visit but I rested very well and the service was excellent.

  Had a problem

  I had a billing issue and tried to reach Manager, Leila Wong, for several days and also tried to reach her through another Marriott property. With zero response and in order to preserve my long term and positive relationship with Marriott I was forced to contact Marriott Corporate to seek resolution. Not returning calls is, in my opinion, business 101. Not to do so is inexcusable. Hotel is Ok, but be prepared to go up the ladder if you have an issue - based on my experience.

  Comfortable room

  Did a one night stay on points - our room faced the back lot, ugly but at least without the I45 road noise. Room was clean and comfortable. Limited services due to COVID, but check in was fast and efficient. Easy walking distance to a couple of restaurants, and easy on/off to I45.

  The Room is Lovely and Clean!

  Everything about our stay was lovely; however, there is just no excuse for not having a refrigerator that will actually cool. The room fridge was nothing more than a "cold box." Most hotels have one with an adjustable temperature or at least a tiny freezer section. I might as well have used my soft sided cooler for my frozen foods, which is exactly what I did. Also, as luck would have it, our room was on the side away from the highway. That road noise was really something else, so we were definitely on the winning end of that arrangement. My advice is to ask for a room that faces the back parking lot. Lastly, although there isn't much the hotel can do about it, there are plenty of sketchy characters who walk along the highway that borders the property. It's a safety concern for some, especially someone like me, who has a dog to walk. As for the room itself, no complaints at all. It was clean, with a nice floorplan. The bathroom was clean and hot water was readily available for showers. The beds were comfortable, too. All in all, if you're in town for business and won't be out in the parking lot after dark, this is a fabulous play to stay. I personally did not feel safe in the area. And I hope this tip helps anyone who didn't know, but do NOT fill up your vehicles at a Valero station. They've been hit with widespread use of skimmers. It's apparently well known by the locals and Houston has a special task force to deal with that concern.

  Inattentive

  We stayed here for Thanksgiving and had a terrible experience. Some of the other guests began making terribly loud noise at 3 am that went on to 5 am. When we called the desk, no one picked up or called us back. When we mentioned it to the front desk (the next morning), we were told that the general manager would call us on Monday to discuss the issue. We didnt hear anything until we submitted a survey that was less than flattery. Only then did we even get a half an attempt at an apology.
