Good pitstop in BillingsStayed here for one night en route from Calgary to Denver. Staff was friendly. Typical Springhill Suites, clean and comfortable. Smart TV with HBO and Netflix was splendid. Would stay again. Loses one star for blaring Fox News at an excessive volume throughout the lobby.

ComfortableGood place to stay on way to Yellowstone. What you expect from a Marriott property, very clean and comfortable. Asked unmasked clerk on check in if any special covid cleaning strategy was in place and he didn't know. Another employee said they do a po pretty good job. Not very reassuring answers on a common question in today's covid world. Found room and hotel to be very clean and well maintained. When leaving I saw a big bottle of disinfectant on cleaning cart. Too bad the front desk staff didn't know the hotel updated protocol when they have some .

Some areas better than othersWe stayed here one night on our way back from Yellowstone. The room itself and lobby looked updated and wonderful and we're very clean. The couch and trundle bed was great for traveling with our kids. However, we killed 3 centipedes in our room! The pool area was a bit to be desired compared to the rest of the resort. The handicap lifts were all rusted and gross looking, the jets on the hot tub were broken, multiple giant dead bugs were laying around in the pool area, and the whole pool room appeared significantly outdated and unkept compared to the everywhere else in the hotel. A little updating and TLC to this area and maybe some pest control would make this property a lot nicer.

Fab hotelI had the pleasure of staying at the Springfield suites in Billings Montana. It wasTruly a pleasant surprise. The hotel was fresh clean and newly remodeled. Everyone that was employed there was extremely the ficient and helpful. Alan checked us in and he was over the top. I highly recommend this hotel as it is centrally located 15 minutes from the airport and right in the middle of Restaurant row. Jackie Vohs

Submitted a written list of disappointments at checkoutOur stay was a disappointment at best. Issues with policies, personnel and maintenance of property. I gave the receptionist a written list upon check-out, and she seemed less than interested. (See actual paper submitted in my photograph.) No apology, no offer to adjust our bill, nothing. We have stayed in SpringHill Suites and other Marriott properties on numerous occasions and are Gold Elite members. Upon check-in we were not greeted as as Gold Elite members or offered bottles of water like at other stays, even when we were Silver Elite members. Later on I asked a gentleman working the desk about gifts of bottled water and he said they only give them out to Platinum members. I told him we had always been offered bottled water regardless of our status. He said this property was independently owned and they had their own policies. We didnt feel very special at this hotel. It gets worse. We were in room 418. 1)The cover on the HVAC system under the window was loose/falling off 2)The room darkening window covering pull to open/close did not work 3)the toilet paper spool was loose/coming off the wall 4)the toilet ran continuously after flushing 5)the WiFi shut down about 11pm - couldnt get it up again 6)upon check-in we found a used paper cup with liquid in it left on the desk. Additionally, 7)the ice machine on 4th floor was not working (no sign out of order) 8)one of two washing machines out of order (sign taped to front) so we had to go to a laundromat in town b/c this was our laundry day on our trip 9)the treadmill I used kept giving me an annoying error message 10)every time we were in the lobby the TV was blaring so loudly it was difficult to converse with others 11)we understand about the COVID restricted Grab & Go breakfast, but it was slim pickings here - wouldve liked to have had some type of high fiber cereal, protein/yogurt, and fresh fruit. Had there only been one or two problems, they couldve been overlooked, but nearly a dozen is disconcerting. This property has great potential. I hope they will fix these issues so subsequent guests will have a more positive outcome. I do not feel we received a good value for the $120.80 paid for the one night stay.
