Great StayThis hotel was great. Our weekend was very relaxing. The outlet mall was right across the street. There were many restaurant options around the hotel. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I will diffently stay here again.

Horrible stayI stayed at this hotel because I was attending my brothers funeral. He was a SSG with the Louisiana National Guard. My mother and service dog were with me. Upon arrival, the room was cramped and many lights didn't work. We also only had one set of towels, so we had to ask for another set. I had to wake up at 7am to go to my brother's service, but was awakened at 2 am by the occupant next door screaming horrific things. I called down to the front desk with concern that he was causing harm to someone in the room with him. This continued till almost 4 am. Finally it stopped. But then, at 5:30am, a wake up call rang. Waking us up again. When I went down in the morning, I spoke to the Front House Manager. She knew of our problems the night before and said she would make sure the wake up call was turned off and that the man next to us was a National Guardsman and he would be spoken too, again. He was playing a online game and it got "heated". On a Tuesday night? at 2am? I went to my brothers funeral and burial at Port Hudson National Cemetery exhausted. Upon my return the GM wasn't available. That night I called down at 9pm to the front desk to make sure that the wake up call wasn't on my room. It was still on. I was assured once again, it would be cancelled. At 5:30am, the phone rang... with the wake up call. I thankfully was able to fall back asleep. Upon check out, I asked for the GM again. He said he spoke with the supervisor of the man playing his video game and it would be handled. He also assured me that he would reach out to me, via email, in the next few days since I was driving back to Florida. It has been 2 weeks and I have not heard a word. The GM obviously cares more for his long term "tenants" then regular hotel patrons that need the services they provide. Another typical act by management that benefits their bottom line. My brother can now rest in peace and I can leave this review.

Extended FamilyI travel to Gonzales quite frequently for business. I've stayed at other hotels in the area and in dozens of hotels across the country. The rooms at the hotel are clean and ,as with most SpringHill Suites, adequately sized for short stays. I started a regular rotation at this hotel at the end of 2019 with a new job and a significant amount of pressure to save one of our subsidiaries. Too many details to write in a review but one thing about this hotel stood our above any others. During my first few weeks of the new job I was faced with passing several tests that would keep the required license to perform our work. It was a a very stressful because if I didn't pass the tests the business would have to shut down until meaning lots of good people would be out of work and I have not taken a formalized test of this nature in decades. Each evening I came to the hotel fairly late in the evening but I was always met with a smiling face and good conversation. The entire hotel staff treated me well but one member of their team in particular, Tiffany, went above the call of duty. Tiffany made me a celebratory cake the evening after passing that dreaded license exam. When you travel as much as I do you quickly realize that some rooms are bigger than others, some hotels are more modern than others and some have more amenities than others but you rarely find a staff that truly treats you like part of their family. That's what I have found at this little gem in Gonzales!

Clean & Great ServiceThis is our second time staying here and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. We were nervous since our second experience would be during the COVID19 pandemic, but EVERYTHING was clean. I liked how they had a hostess for breakfast Mon-Fri, so the scoops werent being handled by everyone. There were several hand sanitizing stations. All of the employees, including housekeeping, were wearing masks. We spent a couple of days there and felt very comfortable in this hotel. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. We will stay here again.
