  Family vacation

  Excellent. The whole hotel crew took excellent care about us. The bike tour together with Mr Georg Segl (GM) was well organized for working out and sightseeing. Great program for kids and teenager allowing parents to enjoy hiking. Great wellness facilities.

  A perfect stay .......

  Arrived by car for a three night stay with half board. There is free on site parking available and also garage parking at an additional cost. We received a very warm friendly welcome English speaking No tea and coffee making facilities and no air conditioning in the room, TV with foreign channels only and a comfortable bed. The room was clean and tidy with a brilliant shower. There is a very traditional Austrian decor furnished to a high standard . The breakfast was the usual continental style buffet fresh and plentiful served in a nice dining room. The hotel is located 20 minutes walk to the town centre or a 10 minute bus ride, the bus stop is right outside the hotel. Dont forget to ask for the Zell am See Kaprun Card - Sommercard which provides free access to many local attractions and amenities. This hotel boasts spa facilities which are a lot smaller than we pictured and completely out of proportion for the amount of potential guests that the hotel could cater for. The spa facilities consist of a small swimming pool, steam room for four people and and a number of loungers both inside and outside - overall somewhat disappointing given the size and price band of this hotel.

  Very disappointing experience!

  The arrival was promising after seeing our family being welcomed in writing on the arrival board outside the hotel, however, things went downhill after check-in. Our two rooms were assigned on different floors, which was not ideal as we are a family of 4 with two children aged 8 and 12. Being on a family holiday, we expected rooms close to each other or on the same floor at least. The receptionist explained that there was only one room of the type that I had booked on each floor and since the hotel was full, there was nothing they could do. This soon changed after I asked to speak to a manager and the man kindly found a room that was available adjacent to one of our rooms. The rooms are a decent size but basic with neither kettle nor mini-bar. The odour in the corridor was off-putting with the smell of cooking from the kitchen. The food, in general, was very poor. The milk at breakfast was sour and after the second day of old milk, I asked one of the staff to change the milk to fresh milk. The omelette, fried eggs and pancakes are cooked on the same grill by one of the waitresses and not a professional cook. My fried egg was undercooked. The Emmental cheese looked plastic and the apples for fresh juice were old and rotten. The presentation of evening meals was amateurish and not deserving of a 4-star hotel. On one evening though the buffet food was enjoyable. The pork roast was cooked well and the veal goulash was tasty. However, on sushi night, the sushi rice was cold and rubbery, without wasabi, and the soya sauce was sickly sweet. Desert on another evening consisted of a granola crunch, sultanas and dried banana slices, which were served at breakfast, with a topping of cream. Overall the staff were pleasant but the food quality was very poor.

  Excellent Stay at Sport and Family Hotel

  Great family-run and family friendly sport hotel. We come here 12 years in a row, with family, friends and on business. Close to excellent skilifts, great swimming pool and sauna area, and a cosy bar to relax après-ski. Food is varied and excellent, staff is extremely professional and nice. Recommended!   Perfect family hotel

  Great family hotel, would highly recommend this for a stay in the area of Zell am See. The welcome is great. Look forward to our next visit. Spotlessly clean. Amenities to cater for all types of stays.
