  Old hotel

  Spent just one night in this hotel. We would definitely not come back. There is no reason to go back. The only positive was a helpfull receptionist. The room was old furnished /I would guess year 1982/ the bathroom was dirty, cold and not cosy. Hair all over the floor!!! The dinning room was a nightmare. Dirty tablecloth, food on the floor /needs more cleaning!!!/, poor in service. The food was not good. Even if you don't spend much time in the room, find another place to stay. The room was 1800 CZK for 3 people incl. breakfast but it is not worth for it.

  Avoid at any cost

  Went there during a sport event,will definitely not come back ever again. A museum of socialist accomodation should be the hotel's second name. It tries to look luxurious but it is just smoke and mirrors that dissolve at the moment you enter it. The local restaurant staff was so slow the time there was actually running backwards. Some poor guest probably hung himself in one of our room's lockers (see photo). For the price you would get a decent room in one of local family hotels, sometimes even with dinner included (already visited one last year, still wonder why we didn't go there this one).

  Excellent location, Nice staff, Good meals, Old-fashioned

  I spent in this hotel several nights in January 2017, purchased through sale-portal for very good price and attractive term. This was very important for us to find a hotel which is available. Location is excellent, especially for winter sports. Ski bus stops directly at the stairs of the hotel :-) and take you to Kobyla or Churáov ski centers. We paind for breakfast and dinners, both were good, in the home-made style. You choose from 3 options for each day. Negatives - the hotel is really old-fashioned, furniture and rooms are worn. Once we entered the room, we were surprised by that. Additional minor negative - I tried to use fitness room and the main excersising machine was broken. Pity, because you can see that hotel invested into fitness room a lot. The main target for us was to spend couple of days in the mountains, so after first surprise at the hotel room, we could live with that. Meals (good and big portions), okay, as well as the bar, very nice staff, hotel sale for skipas and other things were positive (including price). Beautiful neighbourhood and countryside. For unassuming guests is good option.

  Announced reconstruction not finished yet

  Unfortunately, after the change of the owner the situation is not better till now. The hotel should been reconstructed from March 2018 till beginning of winter 2018. Sudennly, there are no details, just information that reconstruction will be finished in summer 2018. Current condition of the hotel seems that it will be problem to finish all works till summer.   Sporthotel Olympia reopend after full reconstruction

  Visited in February 2020. The hotel is reopened after full reconstruction. We were one of the first guests. The building looks perfect, very nice and clean. Very nice room, beautiful bathroom. We had just breakfasts but also very good and nice - see my photos. Staff is very friendly and helpful and trying to help and support. We really enjoyed our stay here. For the evaluation I put just 4/5 because some issues occurred: the wellness and fitness announced when booking the room was still not completed and could not be used, then - the building has one balcony without barriers between the rooms so anybody can go on the whole balcony (and watch into your room). The bathroom miss also hair dryer. (one was later borrowed at the reception). Last point is the price policy of the meals. We asked for the half-board (dinners) and the price was 290 CZK which is really to much, comparing with other hotels that offer 150-180 CZK. I think that all the issues I mentioned can be solved. The hotel has very good potential to start again and be very popular.
