Short report - A very clean hotel, super food, most helpful staff. Highly recommended.Longer report. We were on a winter walking holiday, as a couple. These items are listed in the order of importance to us. Cleanliness. Both our room and the hotel generally were cleaned to a very high standard, and could not be faulted. The presence of a hand gel dispenser at the entrance to the breakfast room tells a lot about the approach to cleanliness at this hotel. Service from the staff. Everyone was most helpful at all times, and regularly checked as to whether there was any assistance they could provide. When information was needed about local transport and upcoming events, the reception staff went to great trouble to sort out the details needed and offer advice. The lady manager/ proprietor was around in the hotel all today, checking not only that the guests had all they needed but also attending to a host another details as well. She was always present at and watching the service during the evening meals. The remainder of the staff clearly took her lead. The lady who manages the breakfast room in the morning not only checked all the food required was available (hot food is prepared to order as you may need) but also provided all the advice that we needed on where to go and what to see. If any follow-up information was required she made sure that we received it and she enquired the following day as to whether all had gone well. Food. The spread of available food at breakfast was super. Juicing machines were available that produced not only freshly squeezed oranges but other combinations of fruit and vegetables well. We were on half-board terms and had an excellent five-course meal each the evening, with ample portions. The hotel restaurant also caters for non-residents, so the advice to get to the restaurant early in the evening to avoid the busy time that can come later is sound advice. Leisure facilities. The hotel has a gym, which looked very well equipped but which we didn't use. There are also two saunas, the textile sauna where users can remain modestly closed, and the Roman sauna which is more traditional. Adjacent to these two saunas is an enclosed relaxation area with glass walls and ceilings giving the panoramic view of the mountains. The indoor heated swimming pool extends on to the roof top outside to give a super view of the mountains (and yes, it is warm enough even in mid-winter). Location. The hotel is centrally situated close to the principal crossroads in the village. You may read in another Trip Advisor reports the outside noise levels can be a problem in Mayrhofen. The bells on the village church are rung at some rather unusual times, but this hotel is sufficiently far from the church (about 5 minutes walk) that the bells do not cause a problem, even if you have the double glazed window open. The front of the hotel faces onto one the principal roads, and the noise created by revellers returning to their lodgings in the early hours of the morning might be a problem. Double glazing cuts out the noise but if you like to sleep with windows open it is worth asking for a room does not front onto the main road. Our room We travelled on a package holiday, but were given the option at time of booking to pay a modest surcharge to buy a premium room. What we got was a room that happily accommodated the two 3-seater settees and an armchair together with tables. We considered the smallish charge for a larger room to be money well spent. The room had a balcony, but situated on the first floor of a hotel in the middle of the village the view was inevitably restricted by adjacent buildings. It would have been useful, however, had we been smokers. Austria has now joined the group of countries where smoking is banned inside hotels, cafes and so on. So, a Hotel that we would recommend unreservedly, and to which we would happily go again.

Lovely Christmas StayWe were a family with two teenage daughters on a Christmas ski break. I booked online and communicated a couple of times before we arrived via e mail - the hotel were quick and very accommodating with my requests. We arrived and were checked in by a lovely French lady who gave us all the info we needed and quickly explained where to park our car free of charge for the duration of our stay. The hotel is typically Austrian inside with a cosy bar area that serves great hot chocolates! The rooms were a little old fashioned but we wanted for nothing - the beds were really comfy, we had English TV, cosy robes and slippers and they were very clean and warm. We used the pool every day and it was amazing to relax on the roof and was never too crowded. We had a gluwein when we returned from skiing in the outdoor bar area every day and ate in the restaurant a few times - food and drinks were great and not overpriced. Breakfast was plentiful and fresh every day and they was lots of choice. Every single member of staff we encountered was so lovely, helpful and happy. We would definitely choose to stay here again but ask for a room away from the front of the hotel if you wake easily as people walking home late at night are noisy - not the hotels fault at all. Great hotel in a perfect location with shops, ski rental, restaurants and the gondola to the pistes on the doorstep.

Amazing rooftop poolWent on an Ingham's package. Breakfast fantastic -the juicing machine is powerful. Rooms very large. Open air swimming pool and hot tub are very warm. Dinner was taken in the a la carte restaurant as so few were on half board which was a surprise and was top notch. Lift from ski room to street with ski bus stops to Hintertux or Penken/Ahorn opposite.

Value for money with buffet breakfastThe location is brilliant. Bus stop in the front of the hotel, but also only 150 meters walk to Penken lifts. The room and bathroom were really clean, but also too hot. Bed and pillows were good. The breakfast was one of the bests in Alps. Real buffet, even the juice blender to fix your own carrot-ginger-apple juice was available! Really nice outdoor pool and jacuzzi on the roof with really warm water was really relaxing. The shop in the same building was nice, but quite expensive sortiment. The restaurant was nice, but didn't care about the musician that much. Free parking and the little grocery store next to the hotel were good bonus. Really good value for money. Defenitely would visit the same hotel again.

Excellent Stay and Value for Money!I booked a last minute ski trip to Mayrhofen to join some friends a few weeks ago and after much deliberation on the hotel finally decided on Sporthotel Manni. As my friends were in a different hotel across town, the main decisions that I factored in my booking was- close to the ski lifts, close to the nightlife but also in the main town. This hotel ticked every box. I arrived at midday and my room was already ready for me which was a nice start considering check in wasn't officially till 2pm. The room itself was large and spotlessly clean with a big bathroom and plenty of storage space. Also the shower was AMAZING- so powerful!!! I walked to the penken lift every morning and to ahorn one day as well, neither were a long walk- seemed a bit daft to me to get the bus! A lot of the bars and apres ski clubs are down near the lifts so by default you're also close to them, but at the same time not too close! My room faced out onto the main street but I wasn't disturbed by noises from outside at all. The spa was also a big selling point for me when I booked it. On the bed in the room on arrival was a robe, slippers and a tote bag with a towel for the spa, nice start to the trip! The spa itself is split into 2 areas, one is the nude side and the other is non nude. I stayed on the non nude side where there was the outdoor pool and jacuzzi (I thought it was crazy at first but even in the freezing cold weather it's actually lovely!), then inside there was a sauna and I think it was called a Latin Steam room or something along those lines? The whole spa area was spotlessly clean and it was never too busy in there, it was a great place to unwind after a long day on the slopes! The restaurant at the hotel is also EXCELLENT. My friends and I ate there by chance one night when another booking we had fell through and we were so glad we did, it was by far the best meal of the trip! I had the Lasagne and my friends had the Carbonara (which they said was the best they'd ever eaten!) The only downside I found to this hotel (and it was only a small downside), was other hotels I've stayed in on previous ski trips had individual ski lockers for storage, instead of one large room open to everyone. I didn't mind leaving the rental equipment in there but I didn't feel safe leaving my own ski or snowboard boots in there with everyone else having access to it. It wasn't any bother to me carrying my boots back to my room, but if I'd have my own skis with me I would have been worried. (I'm sure my worries were completely unfounded because I didn't feel unsafe in the hotel in the slightest or feel like the other guests were untrustworthy, think it's just the inner Londoner in me!)
