    Good news, bad news

I am quite torn about this place. The people running it were great, always eager to serve and make us happy. The included food was pretty good, too, and the pizza in the pub was very good. The location isn't bad for skiing, and the rooms, while pretty spartan, were adequate and clean. In fact, the towels were well above average, for some reason, and appeared to be new. But the hotel must have been designed by a madman. Looking rather Soviet in style, the worst part is the noise. Now this is not entirely the hotel's fault, as the source of the noise was rowdy, inconsiderate people. But the design of the hotel contributed greatly to the problem, with tiled hallways throughout that make even the slightest sound reverberate from one end to the other and room doors that are impossible to open or close without sounding like you're in a large prison (see "reverberate" above). On most nights, we were so tired from skiing all day, you could have driven a truck through our room and we would have continued to sleep. But on one evening, I think it was a Saturday night, many more people seemed to be in a party mode, and the noise in the hallway kept us awake until 02:00. But we got our revenge on our noisy neighbors the next morning as we went down for breakfast at 07:00. :) And so that's the basic story here. This is not a fancy place, it can be very noisy in the evenings, and the free Wi-Fi, quite frankly, sucks (also not the entirely the hotel's fault, as the available service in the whole town is via a slow microwave link). But in my experience, the staff worked hard to make our stay as good as possible -- and were even efficient at checking in our group of about 45 people -- the food was a pleasant surprise, with lots of vegetables (!) at each meal (ok, they could keep the canned fruit), and the price, well, reflects what you get overall.

Sport Hotel Forte, Sella Nevea, Italy

Pretty poor equipment, very strange opening hours (pizzeria opens at 13.00, bar opens at 21.30), same breakfast everyday, average service, and awful dinner. Our room was pretty cold, we have got an electric heater. Sauna is only for 18+.

    Free ski

This was my second visit in this hotel - previesly I had a ski trip last (2015) year and I was guite satisfied. The location near excellent and ski areal ( rather for good skiers) was the best benefit of hotel. The first impression of an old building and small rooms was sad. But the cleanless of warm room and service was adeguate. There was a constant problem with Wi-Fi. The rooms are wery noisy - we had permanent impression that doors left opened. Wellnes is average. The biggest problem was terrible food served by slowly unprofessional "restaurant" staff. The meals were extremaly small comparing to 2015. For poor breakfast you could extra pay 3,5 euro for 2 usually cold eggs (sometime you did not get them)

    Timetravel

We were on a ski trip for 4 days here. The staff were friendly but the hotel itself was really disappointing. The room was very cold (around 15C at night), heating was not adjustable. The bathroom was a nightmare. The shower sink was clogged, all the water was pouring out into the main room... But the wellness area was even worse. They have a pool but there is no water in it. The sauna was too small for the size of the hotel, one day we had to wait hours to get in. The food was average, italian food was OK, everything else not that much. On the brighter side, the hotel was near the ski lift, so we could just walk there.

    Basic, but adequate

Came here on a corporate skiing trip with colleagues. Facilities are basic, but adequate; the staff is helpful and friendly; and the lower slopes are just a stone's throw away. The return to the hotel is quite a bit easier for experienced skiers, as the red course coming down the mountain practically puts them at the hotel entrance (short walk downhill, as opposed to a long walk uphill if you return via the elevator). Breakfast menus are constant, and there is very little in terms of variation in the dinner menus, so food will get boring after a while. There is a bar, but we haven't taken advantage of that. Common lounge includes an air hockey table, fussball, and a slightly wonky pool table, all of which run on 1EUR coins. Reception area purports free wifi, but the displayed password failed to authenticate for me, though mobile network coverage is good despite the mountain location. Power sockets are of the CEI 23-50 17/11 standard, which only accepts Europlugs, but not Schuko, so you may need to bring an adapter, and almost certainly an extension cord!
