    Sport hotel olimpo

Nice hotel, with 3 bloks that are 2 floors high. The rooms are basic comfort but do have airco, fridge and safe. The food was excellent and a good service. The poolbar is not expensive. Hotel is about 500m from the lake (climb)

    The funniest hotel ever

That has to be be the funniest hotel I've ever seen. The hotel and 99% of its guests look like it's 1987 and they came from East Germany. Surprisingly, most license plates were from Bavaria. In any case, this hotel caters to Germans on package holidays, has low-quality food that poses as German and the waiter will immediately try to speak German to you. It's clean alright but why anyone would choose to cross the Alps and pay for (East) German familiarity instead of experiencing real Italy beats me. This hotel is quite awful and in need of total refurbishment. The town of Garda is underwhelming. But one night is nevertheless interesting, makes you feel like you're part of a social experiment.

Worst hotel in the whole wide world

We had been looking forward to a nice time with the whole family together unfortunately this was not what we got. The servants in the restaurant was the only good thing about the place. The managers and people in charge does not know how to treat guests and we were shocked to experience such a horrible service!! We used 2 out of 3 days to figure out what to do since the hotel had done some double booking and we were thrown out of our rooms. We were traveling with two small children and all of our luggage was taken away with all their stuff in it. I have never in my life experienced such a bad treatment and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who doesnt want to ruin their vacation!!!!!!

    Overdue for an upgrade!

This could be a much better hotel, but they shouldnt keep guests waiting for their rooms! If they do, then perhaps an apology and a welcome drink would be welcome! The entrance is tired, as is the lounge area, they need to look at presentation. The building are OK, must in dire need of decoration, and the grounds need tidying up by professional gardeners to keep the trees and shrubs I tidy order. The surrounds to the pools are in need of upgrading, since the tiling is broken and lumpy in many places, with weeds everywhere. Long waits at meal times to get any service. The hotel gives easy access to the town, and bar staff are friendly.

    Hotel Sport Olimpo

The Hotel Sport Olimpo offers a basic and simple pace to stay. It is friendly and welcoming and you are left to get on and enjoy your time in Garda. It Offers an all night reception which is not the case with every Hortel in the area. The Hotel is clean if a little dated in decor and appearance but it does offer a fair amount of facilities, a large open air pool, Tennis Courts which you have to book and pay for separately. There is also a golf course some where but in the immediate vacinety of the hotel. The bar also offers service to the pool and sometimes they host some live local music. Breakfast in restaurant is between 7.30 and 9.30 and it is a buffey, its vast and you will not go hungry, but it does cater more for their German guests rather than Brits. This is not surprising due to the proximety to the border. Dinner has to be pre booked and the options are a little basic, but why would you with Gards 5 mins away go out and explare the hundreds of restaurants and bars after all you are in Italy. A small draw back, even though you can get from the bus station to the Hotel in 12 minutes walking, it is situated up the hill, but once you know where it is, there is a gate (which for some reason you are not told about) half way up which offers steps into the hotel core past the dedicated apartments but it does miss all the less than desirable walk on the road around corners without a footpath. So you are not exactly on the lake and you are more likely to get a view of the hills rather than Lake, but in reality I used the hotel simple as a base, and for that its great. In short would I stay here again? Yes I absolutely would.
