Cozy Boutique Hotel in the hills of OkinawaI am a huge fan of boutique hotels, and I almost throughly enjoyed my 4 night stay at this one. The property is a renovated 1970's love hotel, nestled in a hillside forest, overlooking the Ginowan and Chantan areas. The great views from the common deck beg you to just hang out and relax. The 1970's retro design of the property is very well done, blending elements from the motel's past with the surrounding nature. The staff is warm, cheerful and extremely helpful. They really made us feel welcome. But here's the problem: no desk in the room! When checking in, the front clerk boasted of free wi-fi, with no-password. It impressed me they understood that password protected wi-fi in a hotel is utter nonsense, and that removing the password makes for a better user experience. Yeah! I thought, they've got it right. But then, in the room, there's no desk! No place to put your computer to use that wonderful wi-fi. The lack of a desk was a serious problem - there is no place to put your keys, or loose change, or any of the other loose bits we tend to leave about. We had back up batteries hanging from picture rails as they recharged. Having no desk made the room very uncomfortable. There was simply no place to put stuff. We were constantly searching for car keys and cell phones hidden amongst the bedding because there was no reasonable place to put them. Then, there are no glasses or cups in the bathroom. Nothing to put water in to rinse after brushing your teeth. We ended up scrounging paper cups from the common area. The owners almost got this place right - it is clean, charming, friendly and, on the surface, invites you to hang out and stay awhile. But the lack of desk makes it very hard to stay.

A unique accommodation with great value! The room is nicely decorated and it is very spacious for a hotel in Japan at this price. I booked the twin room so I get to park my car into the garage. The shower is strong but the bathroom can get really cold due to lack of heating. The heater in the room is working well though. Bed is not the most comfortable one but it is really good enough for its price. A simple breakfast with okinawa donut, coffee and juice are provided. I will definitely stay here again if I'm coming to Okinawa again!

American style motelClean and tidy motel in a quiet area, conveniently located just off the main road and not far from expressway. Check in was wary prompt, host has excellent command of English. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with basic amenities like soap, shampoo, toothbrush, hair dryer. There are common areas were food can be prepared and consumed. Laundry on site as well. Free coffee and donuts are served at reception in the morning. Many leaflets advertising their business, mainly food. Big AEON mall is within walking area. All in all, very good overnight option around city of Okinawa.

Vintage and great value! We stayed at a double bed room. The whole motel is just as you seen on pictures, vintage and simple. The parking garages were only set for certain room types, our room locates on 2nd floor, so we didn't get a garage to park, and need to walk on stairs to get up and down, which was perfectly fine for us but I can see how it'll be really inconvenient for people travelling with kids and large luggage. The lady at the check-in counter speaks fluent English and super helpful and friendly. The location is a bit out of no where, but it should not be a problem if you rent a car. There's a huge mall AEON close by. The bed was a bit hard for us, but we're soft bed kinda people. Overall, it's still a pleasant stay for us.
