  An excellent choice if you are visiting Falmouth

  An excellent choice if you are visiting Falmouth or district. Very clean and well appointed rooms. Really excellent food in the restaurant which is on the waterfront. Also an easy walk to a range of good local alternatives.

  Fabulous

  Stayed here 3 years ago loved it then loved it this time. Fantastic location overlooking the super yachts and marinas. Great location for walking to restaurants and bars yet tranquil by the pool. Rooms are great with lovely views. Well equipped kitchen and lovely bathrooms.

  Very pleasant stay

  Very pleasant hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was very comfortable and very well equipped. Only slight criticism is there is no glass in some of the windows just Venetian type shutters. The crickets outside are very noisy at night and glass in the windows might reduce this noise in the room.

  Loved staying here

  We really enjoyed our week at South Point. We had a great first floor room overlooking the marina where we could see all the activity especially as boats were being prepared for the annual 600mile yacht race. The large balcony had comfy loungers as well as a dining table and chairs. Everything was spotlessly clean and was well serviced during our stay. There was a fully functional kitchen too. Tiny beach but nice quiet pool area. All the staff were really nice. The only very small gripe was that the lighting in the room was not well designed and the choice of TV programmes was abysmal

  Nice place

  The good: - lovely rooms, comfortable beds, modern and clean - terraces are great with a view of the harbour and boats - rooms cleaned every day with very friendly cleaning staff - minibar stocked and the kitchen is good - being right in the harbour is great with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance - breakfast is especially good with smoked salmon and a good choice of a la carte items to select from - breakfast overlooking the harbour is a treat and very enjoyable - the waitress is lovely even though service is a little less attentive at times No so good: - lighting is poor in the rooms, trendy I guess, but frustrating for putting on makeup - no dressing table, had to use my own mirror and sit outside - no baths, but a very good hot shower - if you open the window shutters for light you find no glass just a screen so the heat comes in so you have to leave them shut - the terrace doors have no screen so you have to keep them closed as the mosquitos get in and you really get bitten at night - the staff dont embrace customer service at a level you would expect which is disappointing and upsetting at times. They put on loud music some evenings and disturb their hotel guests. I checked and it was for the staff as there were only a few people in the restaurant. - staff dont wear their face masks all the time. - Late check out meant I had to ask again on the morning and I didnt as I was there for an hour having breakfast but they didnt say anything. Making it my job to ask rather than their job to inform me. Made to get out of the room and while I was trying to shower and pack they turned the water off. Then said it was $150 usd to stay beyond 4pm. Understandable but if you are forced to leave your room and pack, whats the point really. Made a point of saying it was my fault for not re-asking for late check out on the day. I was stressed out by their lack of customer care. Be warned: - we got bitten by mosquitoes while sleeping the first night as we didnt know they were inside. You have to spray and put the candles on.
