    Poor Service and Outdated Interiors

We arrived late at the hotel at about 6-7pm and were told that there were not available non-smoking rooms in the hotel. We understood that we did not specify in our booking through agoda but he was not polite in informing us and brushed us off. The smoking room was not too bad despite that. When we wanted to borrow the phone to make a phone call to another hotel, the reception was extremely unhappy that we had to trouble them. The menu for the breakfast and dinner was not too bad but it could have been better. The interiors of the hotel is really outdated. The lift has a bad smell and the reception didnt try to help us with our luggage (this could be due to the lack of staff during their night shift). lastly, i spoke to Agoda to have my room changed from 3 ppl to 4 ppl but they refused and i had book another room because i had one more friend coming with us quite last minute. Could have been a much better experience. The hotel seems to be very popular with tour groups and they came in by the bus loads. Just beware.

Worst dinner buffet I ever tasted

The rooms r nice n spacious. However, the dinner buffet was disappointing n bad quality. I am not looking forward to my next morning breakfast buffet. Will not pay for their meals again. Worst buffet I had in Japan.

    Not a good hotel

There were big Chinese tour groups when I was checking in, and my heart sank. Noise in the corridors (could hear them in my room), noise in the onsen with kids running & jumping in the rest area. Pity as the onsens are pretty good. Not a good place to stay if you are an independent traveler like us as it seems this hotel caters to lots of big tour groups. The buffet dinner was the worst I encountered in Hokkaido. Cheap hotpots were served. Breakfast wasnt any better. I went to breakfast at 8.15am and there was a long queue at the coffee machine. One machine in a huge dining hall of easily 100 pax? The soft-boiled eggs were gone and when I asked, was told no replenishment. ???? Breakfast was supposed to be served till 9am, and no eggs at 8.15am?

    Unprofessional services

I made a reservation for a Modern Japanese room for a night in this hotel. Booking was done with agoda.com and fully paid few months before arrival. Upon arrival, the staff told me the Modern Japanese room is fully booked and he assigned me an old japanese room same floor as the reception. What does this mean? You paid for your preferred room type but if the hotel is out of that room type, they can simply give you any room as long as you have a shelter for the night? Is this a fair service?

    Pleasant stay

Visited during early November which is a low peak season in Hokkaido too see snow. It was amazing. We truly enjoyed our two nights stay in the hotel. Selected this hotel as it fits our budget. Hotels around either exceeded our budget or the hotel doesn't come with a attached bathroom. We chose the Japanese tatami room and it is really spacious and comfortable, our friends chose the Japanese modern room and it's almost half the size of the tatami room. The breakfast and buffet dinner are not up to standard though there are vast selection of food. Bingo game after dinner was fun and we won some dried kelps back. Receptionists speak English so communication is not a problem, they helped to book private onsen at sister hotel and the experience is wonderful.
