  Holiday apartment by the lake

  We spent three nights in an apartment in Sonnenresort Ossiachersee. The apartment was spacious, with two bedrooms, a living room / kitchen, bathroom, toilet and balcony, with a lot of storage room. The interior is quite old fashioned and in urgent need of a 'face-lift', but the space provided makes up for that a bit. We only ever ate breakfast in our room buying supplies in the store on the premises and a small supermarket no more than 1km away, and for that the kitchen was adequate. The balcony was facing the parking lot, which is quite understandable as we rented the last apartment available. The 'beach' is spacious and offers a lot of shade under old trees, and free yet old sunbeds. The view is beautiful. There is a lot on offer for younger and especially older children. Surf boards, kajaks, paddle boats, beach volley ball, table tennis, etc are mostly free to rent. There is an indoor pool also, a gym, bowling, etc. etc., and a lot of other activities organized for young and old, and a lot for teen-agers to do. The little bar at the beach is limited, but the restaurant (we only went once for lunch, a-la-carte) further up offers really good Austrian food! The guests are very mixed, but unfortunately the fellow Austrians amongst the rudest when it came to invading personal space on the more than generous grounds. The staff on the beach is a bit young, and doesn't look after any sort of order or safety on the beach, which got out of hand a lot with teenagers fighting and pushing each other into the water on the pier not taking any care around smaller children. Overall a really nice little spot, great location, the staff friendly, the facilities in need of renovation.

  Nice and comfortable lakeside apartments

  This apartment complex is located at the beautiful lakeside of the Ossiachersee, just a few kilometers from Villach and the Gerlitzen ski area. The apartments are huge, nice, clean and very comfortable, the staff is charming and very helpful. There is a free shuttle bus service to the ski area 3 times every morning. We were on half-board basis, there was a great choice of delicious local and international food. If you are not tired enough after a whole day skiing, you can have fun at the complex's own disco and gaming rooms after dinner.There is also a wellness area with sauna, steam bath and a cold water pool.

  Great lakeside location.

  We only stopped here as we were broken down but our room was spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Its made up of lots of small blocks of apartments surrounding a dining hall building and sports complex. It caters for large groups and we saw a bus load of Japanese tourists stop for one night. the dining hall is a bit manic for us even though you have your own reserved table. there is a well appointed spa , right by the lake and indoor pool. its a mile from Osiac village but a pleasant walk. it was a bit too much like a holiday park or butlins for us and we would not of chosen the place ordinarily it was only because we broke down, its very popular with families and that's its strong point.

  Top price! Good aervice

  Price service ratio, unbeatable! Very nice staff! Friendly and managing persons like me ( entering with a dog in the restaurant) polite and in a smart way! Food is basic 2-3 choice but ok. Especially if i pay 220 for 6 nite p peroson. Really good ! Rooms are renovated and bath compleatly new! You can take pats with you up ok request !
