  Wonderful hotel for our family for more then 25 years

  Me and my family have been guests in this hotel for more than 25 years. Every Christmas holiday is spent at Hotel Sonne and either during the spring or in the summertime we enjoy a seond holiday in this hotel. Upon arrival you are welcomed by the owners Peter and Sonja. The staff is extremely welcoming and forthcoming as well. Upon arrival your car is unpacked and parked in the parkinggarage. The rooms are all recently renovated to the highest standard. They are kept spotlessly clean. You will find a bathrobe and slippers in your room. The restaurant serves an outstanding dinnermenu, if you cannot find anything of your liking on the daily changing menu there is always the possibility of ordering outside the menu. After dinner drinks can be enjoyed at the hotelbar or at the Sunnalm with life music. Breakfast is wonderful with everything you might want for breakfast and a cook who bakes your eggs to perfection in any possible fashion. The hotel has a beautiful indoor swimmingpool with a wonderful watertemperature. Tea and lemonade is served a the pool including fresh fruit. There is also a wellness area with all the facilities you might wish for. Sonja and Peter and their staff will do anything to make your stay perfect every day and will attend to any special requests without a problem. The hotel is located perfectly in the middle of Ischgl, a few minutes walking from all the major lifts and if you like apres ski the hotel is located in a quieter area of the village but only a few steps from the better apres ski bars if wanted. We have been enjoying our holidays at Hotel Sonne for more than 25 years and have already booked for next year. We hope to spend many more wonderful times in this wonderful hotel.

  Fabulous hotel ideal location. Food amazing

  Have to say....it is one of the best hotels I have stayed in whilst skiing. Super comfy beds, spacious room, welcoming staff, restaurant staff are top class. It is high end, and deservedly so. One little comment.....there is a 2 euro charge for a carafe of tap water on an evening, not at breakfast, and this is puzzling..this should really be free. And the afternoon snacks doesn't include tea or coffee, again, odd. We stayed with a group of 7, including 2 teenagers. The 2 teens didnt like anything on the main menu, and the kids menu was slightly limited. Parents ended up either buying from the pizza place below or Burger King. It may be an option to potentially offer bed and breakfast if people are travelling with fussy teens. Didn't spoil our enjoyment at all. Every evening the food amazed us. Delicious home made soups, slightly too much veal on the menu for my personal liking but I didn't choose it. Thankyou Hotel Sonne for a lovely stay.

  Amazing

  Best winter holiday ever! Great service and food. Room was perfect for 4 persons. We enjoyed the swimming pool, sauna and hammam. Close to the slopes. Amazing breakfast. We Will definitly be back!!!!!

  Faultless

  Although my booking was cancelled due to the Coronavirus outbreak, I can't fault the way the quick, friendly and efficient way the hotel staff contacted me and provided me with a full refund of my deposit.

  Faultless handling of Covid-19 cancellation

  We were unfortunately unable to spend our planned week at the Sonne, following early closure of the resort due to the Covid-19 outbreak. However, I would like to commend the Sonne wholeheartedly for the way in which they handled the cancellation: a full and timely refund was offered with no quibble whatsoever. We will certainly be looking to book at the Sonne for any future trip to Ischgl.
