Wow. Just wow.We were going to Medford for the weekend and decided to get an early start so we decided to stay in Vancouver and head out in the morning. We chose this place because I saw on the website that it had a bedroom separate from the rest of the living area. This is something I look for because of sleep problems. I was thoroughly impressed by this mini apartment. It had everything from a full size fridge with icemaker to pots, pans, dishes and utensils. It even had a tiny bottle of dish soap. And that was just the kitchen area. They provided a laundry basket as well as the usual iron. The bed was comfortable which made for a good night's sleep and the breakfast in the morning was better than most. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Great stay for a great price! We decided to visit Portland for New Year's but instead of staying downtown, we decided on Staysuites and commuted in each day. The check-in process was simple. Appreciate the free cookies. The room was simple. Had the queen and sofa bed (though we were told it was a king). Didn't use the kitchen. Appreciate the "menu" on the fridge for the breakfast and social nights though I wish they listed the times for each. The bathroom was clean though the door would not close. You can "close" it but it won't latch and hold. Appreciate the sink outside of the bathroom so one can brush up while the other uses the bathroom. Because of New Year's Eve, there was considerable noise level even as late as 3am. It was muffled through the door and thankfully I'm a heavy sleep. Beware if you are staying overnight during a holiday where people tends to party. Breakfast was simple and good. We only stayed for one social reception. The social was underwhelming and I believe slightly different than what was listed on the menu calendar. The dining area is clean and the staff is nice. Check-out was easy. Overall a good stay except for a few minor things.

UNACCEPTABLE ACCESS TO THE LAUNDRYMy husband and I have frequented the Staybridge for years. This time we arrived from overseas and stayed 8 nights in our usual 2 bedroom suite. Everything was pretty much closed down, due to the measures to protect all guests and we appreciated the hotels efforts. I am writing this as I would like the manager to rethink the way they are requiring quests to go "outside in the weather" to access the laundry room. This is NOT necessary and sure is NOT convenient for your guests. The access to the laundry is through the exercise room and of course, it is closed. I would argue that you can still close the exercise room but allow guests to pass through to the laundry. Management could disable all machines, put sheets or blankets over each of them and tie down the cover with rope, remove the free weights and put signs explaining the closure and stress that if any guest abuses the closure requirement, they will immediately be asked to check out/leave. It is not acceptable in April in Oregon to require your guests to go outside to access the laundry room!!! It poured rain on us and we were pretty much soaked-it was ridiculous. I understand the need to keep your guests safe and I very much appreciate your efforts. But the way you are handling the laundry room is not acceptable. Please consider my suggestion to disable the exercise room and allow guests to pass through to the laundry, doesn't this make a lot more sense? Also, the first evenig we did laundry it was very dark outside at the entrance to the laundry. After speaking to the front desk, we realized that the motion detector light was turned off. This is not a safe situation for a single female, not acceptable at all!!! In closing, there is no reason that your guests have to go outside in the rainy, stormy weather to access the laundry. I believe with a little effort and time on your part, you could make this a much better situation for everyone. Obviously, this covid-19 situation is not going to go away soon, so the laundry situation needs to be rethinked. I can not stress more how unacceptable it is to make your guests go outside in the rain to access the laundry, especially with the lights turned off. THIS IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE SITUATION!!!!! Also, the management needs to supply disinfectant wipes in the laundry room so that each guest can wipe down the machine handles, etc between uses. The disinfecting wipes were removed during our stay for some reason. This really is not acceptable either.
