  unpleasant

  I usually am very pleased with staying at Sonesta Suites in Malvern, but this last stay was a huge disappointment. Firstly, the didn't not have my reservation, which then proceeded to be a half-hour long wait as the front desk receptionist discussed the situation with the primary Sonesta Suites person-in-charge on the telephone. She did try to ease my nerves by offering some free snacks, and a room in a "quiet" location. However, when I got to the room, it smelled like someone had a pasta party the night before. Very unpleasant odor. I then laid down on the bed for some much needed rest, and all I could hear was the slamming of the door in the room below as someone was going in and out constantly for 15 minutes. I think it was the maid. I eventually cut my stay short because of all these reasons.

  Wonderful stay

  The room was perfect, the staff friendly and helpful. I especially appreciate seeing the bed made every evening when I got back to the room, with fresh towels provided. These are the standards I have come to expect with Sonesta. Thank you for making my stay in Malvern most enjoyable.

  Mouse droppings in the hideaway bedsheets, which hadnt been changed.

  See above. We have stayed here in relative comfort for the past 5 years. At the end of a long day, we were greeted by the odor of weed from the room next door and a dirty room. We couldnt believe the large amount of mouse droppings in the dirty sheets. There was debris under the furniture and and cushions. To the staffs credit, we were given a new room that appeared to be clean. Note: check your room before you unpack!

  Excellent Port After the Storm

  A violent storm took out the power in our rural neighborhood when it downed numerous trees, leaving many roads impassable. My wife and I took refuge at the Sonesta ES Suites in Malvern, PA, because they provided a full kitchen with a refrigerator large enough for us to store most of our frozen and refrigerated food for the 6 days we were without power. This is a frequent occurrence for us, having happened 4 or 5 times over the past decade. The staff are friendly, sympathetic and helpful in our time of need. The accommodations are spacious, clean and well appointed. We'll be back, if needed, between now and the installation of our whole house generator.

  Might come back.

  Recently, I booked a 2 bedroom suite as I am on a business trip with my son. The man working at the front desk was very nice. As I walked into the suite, it was very nice. I took a look around and didn't notice any flaws. My son, walked into his room and came running to my room because he did not want to sleep in the other room due to mouse droppings and dead spiders on the wall. I walked into his room to take a look and found mouse droppings, spiders, and brown sludge on the backboard of the bed and the lampshade. There was also long brown strands of hair on his pillows. Everything else was nice, but as an honors member, I wish the cleanliness was better.
