    Great location but poor accomodation

5 min walk to Chernyshevskaya metro station, lots of budget restaurants around and a super market. Free coffe/tea in the lobby and free water at floor. On the other hand bed was old and wires in it could be felt. There was a smell in the room and quality of breakfast was very poor.

    Holiday 2015

We had booked the hotel for 3 nights in September 2015. The hotel location is perfect. Room was cleaned and breakfast was very nice. But staff should be more friendly and welcoming the guests. We just arrived with 2 suit-cases and the hotel is on the second floor (there is no elevator) and the Receptionist said good afternoon and asked for payment. As we both are working in the hotels we got shocked. Staff suppose to ask us to have a sit then talked about payment. Next day during the breakfast some girls were prepare food for themselves and guests should wait. Hotel didn`t provide a breakfast box. I think they should make it. In general it was nice stay! If we have a chance to be in St.Petersburg again we will choose this hotel.

Very, very good location. No airconditioning. Minor conveniences

The hotel, that I booked for about 55 euro per night, does the job. One has to understand the situation with hotels nowadays in Saint-Petersburg: most of the inexpensive sector of the market is taken by private small hotels that are made in a staircase of a former large-flat residential building, as opposed to a stand-alone hotels. Also, it is much less often you get to choose a network hotel, comparing to Moscow. The hotel has an un-beatable location, within 5-10 mins taxi ride either from Finlandsky or Moscow railway stations, and within a short walk from Chernyshevskaya metro station. Technically speaking you can reach Finlandsky station even by foot in about 30 mins. This also means that city center is also close by. For example, a very peculiar Annenkirche (https://www.tripadvisor.ru/ShowUserReviews-g298507-d7374644-r597531694-St_Ann_s_Church_Annenkirche-St_Petersburg_Northwestern_District.html), where you may find some concerts in a very unusual interior of a church that survived fire or just walk-in to take a look, is quite close. The hotel room (I took a bit "better" room that was about 20 euro more expensive) is rather spacious, but be prepared that it is mostly empty space. The writing table is rather tiny and not so convenient, and there is a minimum of furniture, so most of the things will end up on the floor. I was missing the small but essential furniture that Ibis hotels have: for instance, a large table. There was a jacuzzi in the bathroom that was also spacious. The small fridge was mildly noisy and I had to turn it off in order to fall asleep. The room had no airconditioning, which might be needed in summer. During summer you may want to have some anti-mosquito stuff with you as you'd be bothered. Daily cleaning of the room was done to a high standard. Also, the lighting of the room was much better than any other hotel: a chandelier and a set of wall lights, also very nice light in WC. Towels were "thinnier" than in most hotels, but still OK. Toothbrush set was present, and a tiny 0.5 kettle. The breakfast is passable. As the hotel does not have a dining room, they simply bring yogurt, cheese, pastry, some fruits, instant porridge, etc. to tables next to rooms. You are supposed to bring it in your room. A coffee machine is there all the time, as well as a water cooler. Probably due to architectural reasons, my room had a couple of stairs between WC and "bedroom" part. These stairs were lit by a LED stripe that I could not turn off, so the room was dimly lit at all times. My room was on the 3rd floor, and there was no elevator. So it is not very convenient to load/unload heavy luggage. Sound insulation is reasonable. However, the exit door is not sound-isolated and some sound can be heard through it. Therefore, missing A/C, lack of some furniture, short staircase in the room itself and the long staircase towards the room make me take one point off, but otherwise, it is a reasonable place in a very good location.
