    Wonderful holiday at Somerton Lodge

    We spent 10 days at Somerton Lodge and were unable to find fault with anything at all. Superb hosts with Dave,John and Anne, nothing was too much trouble for them and we were made to feel so welcome. The food was amazing and we would love to come back again. Cleanliness and attention to detail was exceptional and would just like to say thank you so much for a fantastic holiday.

    Friendly family-owned hotel

    Owners John and Dave are welcoming and friendly hosts, they made a particular effort to accommodate allergies and are doing lots of work to improve the hotel. Our double room at the back of the hotel was OK, though the en suite shower room was rather cramped. The breakfast was fine and the airy dining room very nice.

    Another brilliant Bank Holiday stay

    Been coming here for the last 3 years with our Scooter Group for the I.O.W scooter Rally and weve always been made to feel very welcome. Plenty of room for our scoots and very accommodating with our breakfast requests John, Dave & Co do a damned good job of staying out of the way but always being there when you need them.This year we had Dinner on the Friday and we were all impressed with the chefs creations. Highly recommend, very quiet, clean and a great location to go explore.

    Everything we needed for a perfect stay

    Friendly welcome, nice clean rooms. Great building and perfect location for Shanklin. Good parking for cars (and bikes) and nothing was too much trouble for John. Loads of space and felt really safe - check out the library. Would certainly stay again.

    Nice stay

    Greeted by John who was really friendly and helpful while booking us in. Room was really clean and tidy as was the entrance hall and the lounges looked great, he has only been there a short while but with his brother and the team done a fab job. Short walk in to the town, breakfast was good and John was a good host, would stay there again Thanks to all the team
