  Very traditional

  Personally, I loved the place. We were in a group and I was lucky to get room A063 which was bigger and had a fridge. WiFi is patchy but worked better on the foyer where everyone else congregates. Traditional decor which it's all about. Maccas 200 meters away. I use a translator to talk to the staff. Would stay again.

  Group Tour

  Traditional hotel which is great in appearance and location ,but needs a lot of tender loving care.The rooms are small in size and the bathrooms need fixing.Sink tap in bathroom was about to fall off ,and the power point at the bedside was hanging off the wall with exposed wiring.Had stayed there for three nights and still wasnt repaired.Close proximity to cafes and eateries.

  This hotel was absolutely disgusting, I have no problem staying in a traditional hotel if it was clean. This hotel smelt awful and stale, it had used toothbrushes in cupboards and on window sills. The shower mats were black and mouldy, toilets kept blocking. Walk from having a shower to the bed and back to your towel and your feet were black. This hotels advertised rates were 50 to 100 yuan per night which is $10 to $20 au per night. Less than backpacker standards

  Place looks interesting from the brochure but not up close.

  The rooms except one room which is 3 rooms in one. The other rooms are small and basically are not cleaned. The bathroom shower kept coming out of the wall. The toilet was filthy and the smell was definitely not a fragrance you would enjoy. Very understaffed and the breakfast was adequate. Saving grace is that there was a few restaurants around the corner. If your tour group has this as your hotel ask them to change. Wifi was iffy. Do not look behind the bedside table...truly scary...wires everywhere and very dirty.

  Very nice traditional hotel that lacks the comfort of most modern hotels. The beds were a bit hard for my liking and the breakfast was very basic. Beautiful old architecture and is close to the Hutong's , subway and restaurants,but I wouldn't recommend a long stay.
