  Good clean hotel

  4 and a half stars. Good resort. Nice clean hotel.rooms are clean and cleaned every day. Good choice of food and snacks. Very friendly and helpful staff all over the resort. Never short of food and drinks. Good entertainment.

  Love this Resort

  Reception staff excellent.Lovely rooms and good views.Delicious food and plenty of choice in the restaurant and with all the outdoor food areas. The kids club and the entertainment staff were very good, plenty for the kids and big kids to do, with the water park and the beach on site. I have been here 7 times now and would certainly go back.

  Just as good 3rd time round

  I have enjoyed my September break here for the last 2 years that I thought I would come back again (see previous reviews). I came a week or 2 earlier than previously and it was nice to see the hotel and surrounding area busy but not overcrowded. Indeed many of the surrounding shops and restaurants gradually started to shut up shop during my stay. So to the Nessebar Bay Hotel - again I cant recommend it highly enough. Room, staff, food, facilities, atmosphere all excellent. Lots of choice for everyone. I am pleased that the hotel were able to meet my request again for a great sea view. Just a pity that as it is a desirable room, I could not get a late check out - and my flight is at 23.45 tonight! Thanks again to all the management and staff for another great holiday. A mention too this time for old Nessebar Town. It really is a UNESCO gem and should not be missed. Maybe next year I will make it 4th time round.

  Friendly family resort

  Family holiday from 22 months old to 67. Booked in at Bay Hotel at lunchtime and went straight to our rooms 505 and 507 and found we had adjoining doors, with locks on both sides. The grandchildren loved this as they could visit when they liked. We had a sea view (not booked) and a view of The Palace Hotel and pool, with Mare Hotel in the background. Got a kettle from reception and our towel cards when we collected our passports, also booked into the Italian Restaurant (worth going) we booked again for our 2nd week. We all enjoyed all the food, there was so much choice and plenty of it. Items were replaced as soon as they ran low. Some lunchtimes we ate from the takeaways. Children loved the pools, water slides and playgrounds. Used the indoor pool on a rainy day (when we found it, in the corner of Palace). Went to the beach for a swim, the sunbeds were off the beach on a terrace, with drink machines, toilets and playground close by. As it was late season some of the food bars were shut. We did find we could use any, think this might be different in high season. Never saw any towels on beds without people on them. We used our own pool and the small children's pool with slides. Walked round the grounds in the evening, this is when you need your Lev if you have children, popcorn, go carts, arcade games and shop every night and boats a few times. We had a 3 year old novice on the go karts, who turned into a Hamilton after 10 days, loved it. Towel change is a hut on the main walkway by the stage. Went to Nessebar old town (beautiful place) twice and Sunny beach. Used the hotel taxi's, cheaper, but found they charged different prices. Did ask in old town to get back, but price was too much, one said he would do it, then the other drivers all got into an argument with him. We left and rang our driver, my son had asked him for a card with phone no. The one thing that was missing in the hotel was a baby changing room in the toilets. We found all the staff very friendly and helpful. I did have a health and safety concern on my last day, I told a member of staff in the dinning area and she said sorry and rushed outside to get it dealt with. Our cleaner was brilliant, looked after my husband to make sure he had plenty of water to take his tablets and was lovely with our granddaughter. A special thank you to the lads at the go karts, made it special for our grandson.

  A let down

  We stayed here for a week in September. We arrived about 10pm and were told dinner was available still. Which was a lovely surprise only to find out it was a very limited salad on offer. The food here is the reason for my 2 stars. We were on an all inclusive basis and so expected the food to be decent as this is a 4 star hotel. Alas, only breakfast was decent. Dinner dishes lacked flavour and the fish dishes were not eatible due to the amount of bones. I am a foodie and love trying different food on holidays so this was so very disappointing. I can say the rooms were clean and comfortable. The pool was very cold but a good size. Entertainment was not very entertaining apart from the magic act which was great! Fantasic toffee popcorn a must try and the non alcoholic cocktails were very tasty. Terrible amount of wasps outside the hotel so beware.
