Room for improvementWe stayed here primarily for the skiing which was wonderful. Hotel was modern and clean and comfortable. My husband didnt like the beds. Tea and coffee in the room would be a massive benefit. It would be great if there was some sort of benefit for those skiing and staying at the hotel, for example free equipment hire or a more reduce ski pass rate.

Great family stay in Junior SuiteWe, a family of 4, booked a Junior Suite at Snowworld Landgraaf (after having spent some time in Germany) to allow for a day's indoor skiing before returning the UK. We enjoyed the layout of the Junior Suite, which is split level and the freedom the outdoor balcony affords. The Suite offers 6 beds, 4 of which are on the upper level and feels like a ski chalet. Negatively, a small fridge was not provided in the room (something that we felt should be standard for a hotel regarding itself as 4 star). Also, toilet facilities are limited to the lower level, which means a trip down the somewhat precarious wooden staircase in the middle of the night if nature calls... We did not take breakfast, as this finished at 10am which was too early for us - one can purchase food from the restaurants during the day and so we did an early lunch instead. The hotel provides parking, which costs 5 per night - I accidentally parked in the 'day visitors' parking as I was not well informed at check in (the hotel reception is far from the entrance to the hotel) - guess one needs to be careful to ask for clear information regarding all aspects of the hotel during check-in. We had a sick child at checkout, and the hotel were gracious in providing a late check-out for us. Overall a great experience, which enhanced our visit to Snowworld Landgraaf - we will stay at the hotel again in the future...

Potentially fun activity for families but "come prepared"This review is more about the use of the indoor skiing which really is the only reason to stay at this hotel. Staff at reception was very friendly but we experienced issues with the indoor skiing which is why we rate the combo for hotel and activity as poor. As a family living in the tropics we thought it would be a fun experience to go indoor skiing. This was a first. We rented equipment on the site and booked a private class assuming we would be taken care off. Equipment rental appeared to be only skis and shoes, not clear on the website but had to pay extra for trousers and jackets. then we were missing a pair of socks. We were told off by the young man at the rental desk and told "we should come prepared" Was running around for 30 minutes trying to find socks in suitcases in a shop and at reception only to find out that there was a vending machine right opposite of the rental desk which the guy could have told us right there and then on the spot. as a result kids late for class and everybody stressed. Ski teacher finished the class on the dot so we ended up not getting much value out of it. Potentially fun activity but only if you know the drill and prepared to pay for a lot of unexpected extras.

Junior SuitWe have been to Snow World twice before but this was our first time in a junior suit. The room was on two levels, a bed settee and the bathroom downstairs and a double bed and two singles upstairs. There was also an outside balcony. There was only 3 of us, including our grandson, so we had enough room, but if you were there as a group of adults youd have to be VERY good friends. Because theres no privacy what so ever. The toilet and shower are a glass cubical and from upstairs you can look down on someone sitting on the loo. Also, there is no fridge in the room or any way of making a drink, and no UBS charging points. We will stay again, in fact were already booked, but my advise is go prepared.

Terrible hotel great ski facilitiesThe indoor ski location and skischool are great however the hotel is very much disappointing. Cleaning and hotel rooms: Third day in a row now our hotel room has not been cleaned despite asked. There is always an excuse and no cleaning was done throughout our stay. The temperature in the rooms are also not properly regulated. Our room was terribly cold. This stay round we could not sleep entirely because there were instructor training groups having parties in their rooms and smoking outside of the hotel making a lot of noise. Breakfast: the breakfast buffet is not worthy of a 4 star hotel. We also stopped paying for daily breakfast at the hotel because there was always an older serving woman screaming at the skiteam children and moaning at parents. The serving staff are all always very loud and often seen arguing about tasks. It does always seem unorganised and chaotic. We feel we do not wish to support that. We like our morning peace and enjoyed breakfast else where. Skiteam packages: The food is really not great and terribly unhealthy. Not what you would expect athletes to be eating and lacks complete imagination (ie serving hotdogs) .Also does not accommodate enough for vegetarians. There is room for much improvememt. We experienced several diner days over the summer where entire tables did not eat their food and just threw it away. The a la carte restaurant on the other hand has better food. So would recommend eating there instead. We tried the food there during this stay. Even if you have to pay a bit more. It really is worth the extra money and skipping the team food package. Parking : What is not mentioned in the costs is parking fees (for those of you that have been before this use to be free) You now pay an additional 7,50 euros per day for parking and it added to the end bill automatically. All in all our experience has not been great over the years and our last stay ( no clean rooms and the noise) was just the final straw. It really feels like an overpriced youth hostel and is most certainly not recommended for a holiday. We do not recommend hotel SnowWorld: For us we will be moving hotel completely. For the weeks we spend in SnowWorld for our son to do his training we can get more for our money staying at hotel @vandervalk up the road. Great peacefull breakfast & food, clean rooms, friendly staff and a better nights rest. Additionally parking, a fitness centre and swimming pool to top it all up free of charge.
