  Wonderful place to stay

  We stayed at The Leatherbark Condos and we will definitely stay there again! It was conveniently located on Snowshoe Mountain, it was clean and apparently had recently been updated. The decor was beautiful. We loved our stay!

  Leatherbark condo 308A OVER PRICED, OUTDATED & DIRTY

  My, my, my wear to start. First off this place deserves no stars for the condo. We were a group staying in this 4 bedroom condo for a long ski weekend, the cost $3,500. One of the other couples picked this condo based on pictures. For that money you would expect something nice. Nope, not here. My partner and I arrived first, looked around and said well....OK. We picked a bedroom and unpacked. Left to to go rent ski equipment, run errands and headed back to condo. I went to the bathroom in our bedroom and saw the shower curtain taped off with a sign that read " out of order, sorry." Well damn! There are 10 of us with now 2 bathrooms!! Next....The kitchen had enough silverwear, dishes etc for maybe 6 people. The gas fireplace did not work. The upstairs rooms had queen bedrooms in them that left no room to walk. The upstairs toilet leaked and left such a huge stain and mark in the ceiling you were afraid to sit in the chair directly underneath for fear in would crash down on your head. A fuse blew from just using a hair dryer and we had to search for the breaker box. It was behind a picture. Whomever the cleaning crew is better take lessons in cleaning. The fans had such caked up dirt and dust on the blades it was hanging off. I was thinking if I get fricking bed bug bites I will track down the owner and slap em!! This is a resort town that can charge these prices, however you need to have accommodations that warrant those charges. Take some of the money and update this hole or take it off the rental market!! Great ski weekend, lousy accommodations.

  104A is great!

  This condo (104A) has been completely remodeled and is beautiful, warm, cozy and comfortable. Master suite is super comfy with it's own bathroom. There are 2 more spacious bedrooms with full size bunk beds. This is on the first floor, but has a great amount of natural light ! Every room has its own window and there is a nice deck that walks out onto a lawn lined by woods ! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook large meals. Short walk to the village or shuttle to other areas. We didn't have to touch the car ! Very convenient, clean, comfy and relaxing !

  Skiing Fun

  Had a great time....but be cautious because even when it says three bedrooms one was the size of a closet with twin bunk not the best for three couples......we made the best of it but next time may rent a four bedroom just to get four adult beds! Loved that you can park in front of your unit and walk to the village.

  Total Betrayal-Leatherbark 108B

  1) We were explicitly told this unit was pet free and no pets were allowed. We found dog hair all over the table and furniture in the living room. We felt totally betrayed because we were told no pets were allowed. This pet-free language was repeated many times in the literature we received. Because I am allergic to dogs and cats, this is critical to my health and wellbeing. When making reservations, we would at least have the opportunity to say yes or no to a room that had been occupied by dogs. I own a cleaning business and some clients allow pets to sleep in their bed. I would not allow a dog to sleep with me. My wife was so incensed that she could not sleep in the bed. Because of the dog fur, my allergies were triggered, which spoiled this trip for me. This was totally unacceptable and cannot be tolerated under any circumstances. 2) As it came time for bed, we began to smell a horrific odor. We found it came from the kitchen. We looked around and found trash had been left in the trash bin. There was dog food in the trash that had been there who knows how long. Again betrayal is what we felt, as the instructions indicated occupants were to remove trash and in addition, the cleaner is supposed to clean unit. So we could clearly see the unit was definitely not cleaned! 3) Shower curtain in the master bedroom was absolutely sickening. I will attempt to attach pictures of the problems mentioned in this message. My rule of thumb is to only post positive reviews, however, I had to make this exception, as we paid way too much money for the extremely poor service rendered. We assume the owner is not local and has no idea of the condition of this unit and how poorly it is cleaned. Sorry, we had to post this negative review but hopefully, it will help the owner to fix the issues in this review. One other thing, the unit had 3 flat screen tv's, only one worked. It took over 1 hour to figure out the wifi system to only get free channels. The other 2 TVs did not work at all. Wifi did not work for phone service at all. You will have to walk to the village to make cell calls.
