  Russian fairytale kitch..

  It's a small and cosy hotel, and some rooms have a good view over the Volga River but not ours : it was actually so small it fell like a prison window with hardly any view, or only up to the moon ...) The locatiion is good, about a twenty-minute walk to the town centre but still far away. The "Snow maiden' (Snegurochka) theme is a little kitsch, but popular for families. The rooms are good by Russian standards, especially for the price. There is no tea/ coffee making facilities, but that's common in Russia. The Hotel's fitness equipment, banya and sauna are good inclusions. Breakfast was well presented, but a little fruit would have made it great. We didn't go to the restaurant for dinner as the band was a little noisy for us. The staff are all friendly. The flexible tariff, with hourly or half day rates, would be useful if you are catching a late train.

  Pintoresco y Simpático

  El nombre del hotel quiere decir Niña de Hielo. Edificación de tres pisos ubicada a pocas cuadras del río Volga, aunque distante del centro de la ciudad y sus atractivos turísticos. El hotel es sencillo aunque completo, simpático, con una decoración peculiar que incluye venta de artículos artesanales y vestidos típicos, no tiene ascensor, lobby con buen número de salas de estar, comedor en el sótano para desayuno buffett de variedad razonable. Habitación cómoda, TV, aire acondicionado, baño con tina.

  Good and very cheap

  Location: close to the main road from Moscow Reception: 24/7 Room: spacious rooms of about 20 sqm Bed: Queen bed with medium mattress very comfy Bathroom/Shower: separate 4 sqm with bath tub (quite short), toilet and sink Cleanliness: very clean Air Condition/Heating: A/C available and heating via real radiators WLAN: free, fast and reliable Parking: directly behind the hotel at hotel property, guarded Breakfast starting 7 pm (exactly on time; before the door is locked :-)) with quite wide range of different dishes Restaurant: very good restaurant, high quality food, not expensive Language: Russian, English Staff: very friendly and helpful, specially at diner Credit Cards: Western standard cards accepted Sauna: yes, you can book the sauna for 800 Rubels per hour (as well as a Russian Bagna) and you get a private use of the sauna and the indoor pool Pool: together with sauna Lift: no Extra benefits: In the garden of the hotel you find Snow Whites House with guided tours every full hour. Also the restaurant is decorated in blue/white and every Friday and Saturday there is a celebration Conclusion: I've been here now three times and I'm looking forward for the next visit

  CUTRE

  Ignoro la traducción al ruso de la palabara "cutre", pero creo que es la calificacaion más precisa. No me cabe en la cabeza que a alguien se le haya ocurrido decorar el hotel de tal ridicula manera: Es como un hotel para niños, pero para mayores, ¿como puede enterdese esto? Todo está decorado como una blanca Navidad de todo el año. Es que ... No encuetro palabas, es demencial y feo. Ojo con la escalera! . En la ultima reforma "forraron" literalmente, los escalones con baldosas, y no ha quedado ningun escalón igual, es seriamente peligroso porque el hotelno tiene ascensor!.
