  Friendly modern hotel

  Good stay in this modern hotel. Very spacious rooms. Tasty breakfast and delicious local black and white pudding! Loved the owners dog who would come to great people by the big open fire in the lobby. Dinner there was also delicious Friendly staff

  Escaping

  We stayed two nights in early October before Level 3 Covid restrictions. The staff were very friendly particularity the you man from Croatia with a very strong Irish accent. In these difficult times it must be very difficult for hotels to cope with breakfasts as buffets are not suitable. The staff were prompt and efficient and there was very little wait. We ate dinner in the restaurant on both nights and had good food and service. I loved the view from our room and the great photos in the foyer of a visit by President de Gaulle in 1969 .a very enjoyable stay.

  Room with a view

  Best experience I had in long time . Thank you for the hospitality and comfort. The owner Louis was a pleasure to chat to and his staff were fantastic. Home from home .Fire at night was a treat Food was 100 percent . Will be back for more ..

  Not worth the money!

  We had booked the hotel after a suggestion from a close friend. We arrived late in the afternoon after a long day of driving and seeing the sights. The hotel itself from the drive in is gorgeous and we where quite impressed as we entered the reception. However this is where the excitement ended, the reception itself was cold and the reception staff looked miserable as if they where done for the day and just wanted to go home. We where given our key and told we could have dinner in the bar instead of the restaurant as booked. We had paid for the superior sea room which only for the amazing view wasn't anything to talk about. It was bare, dated and unwelcoming. Little or no decoration which I thought could be down to covid and needing for cleaning etc but still not good enough for the price of the room. Bed wasn't nice at all, sheets where stuff and didn't smell fresh. And to top it off the overly starched bathrobes you could use as bricks they where that hard. We had an okay dinner in the bar, staff where lovely but we couldn't wait to leave it. We asked at reception could we have the breakfast in the room instead of the buffet breakfast as we didn't think this was overly safe... we where simply asked what we wanted and the time. All night there was a large group of people drinking and playing the piano in reception, which really wasn't pleasant for anyone meaning no one could sit out by the fire. The next morning breakafast arrived an hour late to the room, reheated sausages, cold coffee and 1 slice of toast between 2 people... worst of all on checking out they charged an additional 8 for the breakfast... although we argued we never asked for room service, and our price for the room was inclusive of the breakfast for both already... rude receptionist who really should learn how to manage guests properly. Much nicer places to stay in Kenmare, will not be back.

  Stunning Hotel

  Sneem hotel is beautiful with friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. The food was very tasty. The scenery around is breathtaking - even with rain! I would definitely stay here again. They followed safety precautions to the letter. Thank you.
