  Lovely stay

  Had another lovely stay at the Smolyan. Good location if you don't want to be in the centre of the resort but near enough to pubs and restaurants. Had great time even when we had some rain and lightening. Hotel is smallish clean and staff are friendly although the management have changed a bit and seemed very mistrusting often getting mixed up about billing for drinks and food. Seen a few annoyed holiday makers not happy with being asked to pay when they had already done so.

  Very relaxing

  We stayed here for a relaxing and chilled holiday ( yes it is possible in Sunny Beach) the hotel was spotless and extremely clean the staff cleaned and changed bedding everyday and took pride in there work, the lady on the reception was the most kindest and helpful lady nothing was too much trouble and would try her best to answer any questions and help you the best she can with kindness which makes your stay better as you feel welcome, the pool was freezing but if your hot you have no choice, the surrounding pool area quite and peaceful people where with there families we didn't witness any bad loud behaviour as people where respectful there wasn't anyone jumping in the pool late at night and no balcony parties ( only us middle aged couple having a glass or 3 of supermarket fizz at 3 levs ) however avoid the next hotel TIA MARIA like the plaque as that was very loud and lots of party behaviour and over crowding around the pool but none effected us we was just slightly entertained people watching whilst having a few drinks.But I would highly recommend staying in the smolyian hotel plus the supermarket down the road was amazing for snacks and drinks enjoy who ever goes! Plus your well within walking distance to everything shops,bars, restaurants and a bus ride to Nesebar is 1 lev 30 from outside hotel Ada and worth the experience

  Great value for money.

  We just got back on Sunday night after a week in Smolyan hotel. We booked room only as we like eating out. And we didn't use the pool as we prefer the beach. I was very surprised to see some negative reviews on the hotel so I'm focusing mainly on the things people complained about. The decor may have been a bit dated but the hotel is very clean. Towels changed daily, beds every other day. Air con worked fine as did the tv and there was even a few English speaking channels. We felt the hotel to be safe/secure and didn't rent a safe, mainly as we had Starling cards, but we did have some valuables lying around. They were as we left them. I'd recommend Smolyan hotel and happily stay here again.

  Good value for money

  Stayed here August for a week with my mum. Basic quiet cheap hotel Good location not on the strip but walking distance to it and bars restaurants shops. Hotel is small and clean enough. Only down side was there is not enough sun beds for amount of people staying which is very annoying. Room is spacious carpet in room tiles in bathroom air con is free and built in the room. Bathroom tiles could have been a bit cleaner had some marks on them and shower curtain was dirty and room curtain also would be nice to see these changed each time. Food and drinks reasonable price at hotel supermarket 2 min walk away. Hotel next door can be nosey but wouldnt say it keeps you awake over hours or that.

  One good place for your accomodation in the city of Smolyan!

  Hotel Smolyan is one of the best hotels in Smolyan. It is situated in the city centre. I was there on 14th of December 2013. Go there and take a rest for a while when you have more free time and spend your vacation near the nature in Rhodope mountain.
