  Muy retirado del centro. No ascensor.

  Esta bastante lejos del centro, sin coche no haces nada. Son mini casitas con 1 o 2 plantas, pero muy importante Sin Ascensor. Tiene piscina. Wifi solo en recepción. Desayuno normal, huevos fritos, salchichas, jamon dulce, etc.

  Reasonable and good

  Nice and reasonable hotel. Friendly staff, good wifi and nice pool area. The only drawbacks were the breakfast and the 20 minute walk to get downtown. Would still stay there again. Cala Gonone was also a very nice location. Rent a boat and check out the caves and cliffs along the coast!

  Excellent stay in Cala Gonone

  Me and my fiancée had an outstanding time in Cala Gonone thank to the Hotel Smeraldo; everybody has been so friendly and professional to us, from the lads at the Reception desk to the waiters/waitresses at the restaurant/bar. The swimming pool is tiny but clean and pretty, surrounded by a number of stunning trees; the closest beach is 10 mins walk away, so is the center of the village. It is possible to buy the tickets for the minicruises by boat or dinghy straight at the reception's till, so that there's no need to queue under the heat at the port down town. Food at Hotel Smeraldo is quality as well as the continental breakfast included. We recommend everybody to go there once to see it in person, it is definitely worth the price!

  Family hotel

  If you are a family traveling with small children, this would be the place to be. There is activities and shows for them almost every evening during summertime. This of course makes a lot of noise both during the day and evening. So if you plan on using the pool, theres children every where. But then again, who wants to be by the pool, when its this near the beach.

  OK for the price we paid

  We just came back from 1 week in this hotel. The room was big and the price quite attractive (we had a combined package flight + hotel). The air conditionning and mini fridge were working fine. The pool area is very nice and there was always enough seats for everybody. People at the reception were always very friendly and happy to help. The hotel offers a shuttle to access to the beach ( 1 per person) another option is to walk downstairs (many steps) 10 - 15 minutes. However the rooms are noisy and the strategy of the hotel is to clearly show low prices and charge all the extras at high rates : - 30 for a simple home made menu per person which is worth 15 and does not include drinks (for that price you can really have high value food in the center) - 70 extra for a baby folding bed So you need a car to drive to the center which is to far to go by foot.
