  Great staff and clean accommodation

  Stayed here for two nights after coming from a four star boutique hotel in Bangkok and I can honestly say that the service here was better. The lady at reception was so friendly, we checked in about half hour early, got our towel and free water. The room was bigger than I expected and clean. The shared bathroom was also really clean, and you could tell it was done routinely throughout the day as the bins were never full. Also a hairdryer outside the toilets. Free breakfast was a great addition for an already affordable room. Good location if you want to be near Koah San Road. The hotel can also book an airport shuttle for you which we did, it was cheap and reliable. Glad we stayed here for our last part of Thailand!

  Very strange hostel

  Within the last month sloth hostel has installed cameras in each of the dorm rooms (for security reasons but none of the cameras face the lockers), and this was never disclosed to us. We were in a room with our friends and only realized there were cameras after we had gotten changed in the room. We inquired about this and the monitor of the cameras was in full view of anyone at the reception desk (I could see a girl in her towel walking through her room). We felt quite uncomfortable about our stay knowing people could see us at all times. The facilities and rooms were nice and clean and the staff were helpful other than the fact they didnt listen to our comment that the video monitor should be out of view of the people staying at the hostel. Just beware that there are many rules and cameras in each dorm. Also 24hour check in and two girls were checked into our room at 3am very loudly by the 24 hour hostel staff which woke us up and we felt was quite inconsiderate.

  This was perfect

  We stayed here for 1 night as it was close to the airport, it was just what we need needed with great air conditioning, lovely staff and lovely seating outside. Our bed was comfy and we had a tv too, the facilities were clean and we felt extremely safe, at an affordable price too. Thank you.

  Amazing!

  Loved this place! So authentic, with amazing rooftop terrace. It is close to all popular touristic spots. It was really clean, and all furniture was new. Employees speak fluent English, which is not easy to find in Bangkok. It is a perfect choice for young people! P.S. free breakfast

  Bad decision

  The receptionist was rude. Thought she was having a bad day but she was the same following day. The private room I was given was far from what the pictures showed. There 's an abundance of hostels in BKK, I also give myself a 1 for making the decision to stay at Sloth.
