Not clean!Awful experience! Arrived to check in at 3;10pm to find nobody there. Waited for 30 minutes and still nobody answered the door. Asked the neighbor who said that they are quite often not there and to maybe come back after 5:00 pm. Left to get something to eat and called around 4:30pm to have the lady of the house tell us she was caught up at the hairdressers. Upon arriving to check in before the strict 6:00pm deadline we were met by John. He hustled us up to the top floor and we were told all of his rules. There is NO parking available and you have to search for a parking space along the main road if you can find one. After getting into the rooms we noticed the bathroom in particular was filthy. There were long black hairs all over the bathroom floor and in the shower. The toilet had pee on it and hair from the last tenant. There was also a few hairs in the beds. It was decided to quietly tell John as to not embarrass him. Well he was combative and loud and said he could not see anything and that his wife did an excellent job of cleaning. He said we were making a big fuss over one hair and became rather scarey. I told him he obviously could not see the hairs and not to worry about it. He stormed downstairs and I told him I had locked the door as we were leaving for the night. He stormed past us grumbling with vacuum in hand and as I told him I locked the room he said he can get in. When we came home it had been cleaned. He turns the heat off at night and it snowed a little when we were there so was very cold . The second morning they had cleaned the room but had rearranged all of our belongings and I found that rather uncomfortable. He was pleasant the next day as if nothing had happened and we sat down to breakfast to find a dirty teacup and general unclean setting. I ordered toast and my friends eggs toast and bacon. He bought 4 slices of white bread for the 4 of us and when asked for some more he came up with I am not a miser but how many more pieces . One or two.? I dont want to waste any. We spent two nights there and wish we had stayed elsewhere. If you have a choice AVOID this B and B.

Great place! This was our last 2 nights in Ireland. John, having his own taxi was convenient--he picked us up at the airport after we turned in the rental car. After tea, he took is into Dublin and we did the Guiness tour since it was raining. The following day he dropped us off in the city and checked back with us in the evening to see if we needed a ride back. He also took us back to the airport since we had an early morning departure and would have provided breakfast but we figured we'd find something at the airport. We were able to find restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk from the B&B. This was the first B&B where I was actually almost too warm--the others tended to be a bit chilly first thing in the morning. The room was spacious enough since we had a double/single for the two of us. There was a basket full of shampoos and conditioners in the bathroom if you had forgotten any. A great location to use as a base for day trips too.

A nice place where to stayPremise is nice: our room was small but fully furnished, plenty of breakfast. Bus stop to city centre is just outside. Look out for check-in hours! Contact the owner if not sure you'll be there on time, as happens that nobody is there to open.

Close enough to the city center, and the airport.Stayed here the last couple nights before flying home. Was pretty quick making it to the airport, very convenient since we were so close to the city. Cathy took care of us while we were there and she was very helpful. We didn't even have to look up which bus to take to get into the city. And she recommended a few nearby restaurants for dinner. The one we actually visited (Bay Restaurant) was a good choice. Only issue we had was the back and forth regarding check-in since we were coming from Belfast. But we simply kept Cathy informed and ended up arriving early.

Amazing Trip to Irelandwe spent two nights at this beautiful B&B. John and his wife Cassie were wonderful, welcoming people. They made sure we were comfortable and treated us very good. The rooms were surley comfortable , and we were delighted to find out that John has his own taxi, which allowed us to be able to leave our car and have him drive us to some places we needed to go. Its an ideal location, close to everything. Indeed a magnificent place to stay, you'll be sure to feel at home.
