Needs Better Customer Service!Stopped here with my husband and dog, the location is a great quiet spot, not a lot around in walking distance. The grounds were will keep and looked almost new. The inside was clean as well. The lady at the front desk (bleached blonde with a lot of makeup) had an attitude and acted like it was the worst day of her life! We finally got checked in and up to our room. The hall way on the second floor we smelled as if someone had been smoking in it and then just sprayed perfume to mask it. The room was nice at first appearance and there wasnt any yucky smells. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner as well as the coffee pot area. Decided to get drinks from the vending machine to only find out they were expired. So I went down to the front desk and talked to said lady. She asked me what I expected her to do about it, that they dont do refunds and that she doesnt carry cash? So I should just throw them away. After spending 4.20 on 2 20oz soda, I didnt want to JUST throw them away! Anyway, luckily that was the last interaction we had with her. The cleaning crew was still cleaning the first hour or two of us arriving and there was a male on the crew who was upset about something because he keep telling one of the ladies that he was f***ing fed up, f*** this, f*** that. The front desk lady the next morning was different and just a tad bit more pleasant. Only a tad. Probably wouldnt stay again, because customer service can go along way and this place deeply lacks it.

Great experienceMy wife and our dog stayed two nights Presidents Day weekend in February 2020. We chose this particular place for several reasons, convenience, pet friendly and good rate. We found it on the internet. The Hotel is located near main travel arteries thus is convenient for many. Checkin starts at 3:00, we were after 2:00 but well before 3:00 but they accommodated us with a smile and great attitude and did not make an issue of the slightly early checkin. Checkin was fast and efficient, Erica checked us in and she was welcoming, friendly, courteous, efficient and professional. Overall an EXCELLENT experience as were all staff we encountered. The place is fairly new, looked, felt and smelled clean and nice. There is a $20.00 per night pet fee, no problem as that was shown in Hotel Details, only one elevator. That concerned me initially but it worked fine and we never had to wait very long for it to arrive on our floor (3 floor property). We did not use exercise or pool facilities. The hot breakfast is served 6:30 am to 9:40 am. Breakfast was adequate with a reasonable variety and good taste with an attendant making frequent checks to spruce up and replenish as needed. I will not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it for anyone looking for a clean, safe mid-range Hotel with friendly competent staff.

Modern, but Not a Great HotelI stayed for one week at the Sleep Inn & Suites in O'Fallon, MO. As soon as I walked into the room, I was greeted by an unpleasant odor. I never figured out what it was, but it was not what you want to smell when you enter a hotel room. I also immediately noticed the room which was large. And yet, what is odd was the amount of empty space there. They would have had plenty of room to add a couch (which they didn't have) with plenty of space left over. I could have done a workout routine in the open space. The room and the hotel seemed modern. And yet, some things seemed unfinished, like how things were not fully glued down (see attached photo). I liked the shower -- although the mold in the shower was disgusting (see attached picture). The hotel advertised free breakfast, swimming pool, and fitness center. But, for the time being, you can ignore what they say they offer. Because of COVID-19, all you get for breakfast is one muffin (in a wrapper). The fitness center and swimming pool are closed during the coronavirus as well. So it might be better for you to stay in another hotel where you are not paying for features which you cannot use at the Sleep Inn & Suites. Since the hotel didn't offer much of a breakfast, I was able to go to a grocery store and make my own. I was grateful for the microwave and refrigerator. They worked well. Because of COVID-19, the cleaning staff never came into the room. If you needed towels, toilet paper, or anything, you needed to hang a paper outside the door stating what you needed. Speaking of toilet paper, I was given one roll for the entire week I was there. Sleep Inn must be afraid that people would steal the toilet paper. Rather than put a sheet outside my room asking for more toilet paper and not know when the roll would be left outside my room (where someone could easily take it), I just bought a few rolls from the store. It's the first time I ever bought my own toilet paper while staying at a hotel. When I first checked into the hotel, the clerk was very cordial and efficient. The check-in process went smoothly. I never saw anyone at the front desk the rest of the week. I'm sure they must have been there to check other guests in, but every time I came into the lobby, I didn't see anyone. I'm guessing they were back behind the wall. The Sleep Inn & Suites at O'Fallon was not the worst hotel I have ever stayed in by far. Nothing was so bad that I had to complain to management, and if all the other hotels in the area were booked up, I wouldn't object to staying there again. But it is probably not a place I would choose to stay. There are a number of other hotels in the are which I would try instead next time.

Very clean, well kept and modernI stayed overnight on the way to South Dakota. It is in a nice safe area right across the street from restaurants and shops. It is a multi story hotel with an elevator. The rooms were spacious, clean and nice. The front desk clerk was very helpful and polite. I would recommend this hotel again.

Not totally cleanVery frustrated when we walked in because we made a long drive 14 hours and calles and asked if it would be a problem to get there at 4:30 in the morning. Thank goodness the girl saw us standing there so I didnt have to fight through my luggage and the luggage carts to call her. She opened the door only to tell us our room was marked as a no show Nd we had to wait too long when all yoi want is to sleep while she figures something out. The next morning my husband had to sign something. Not a fan that they allow dogs. With everything dogs carry and cleanliness is already hard enough at a hotel. Not sure they clean well. There was a loose screw beside our tub. We were so tired i didnt check everything out good. The TV had a nice varietry to choose from. Near a few restaurants and a starbucks but I would choose a different hotel.
