PerfectExtremely high standard accommodation. Very comfy beds and immaculate. Great having the golf buggies to access all the facilities at the Hall. Would definitely recommend and hopefully return again soon.

High standard of accommodation in lovely countrysideFive of us stayed for a week in a 4 bedroom multi-level lodge (Slaley design) booked via Hoseasons. Lodge had 2 double and 2 twin rooms; 3 en suite plus a further bathroom. Shower for the twin room was tiny but otherwise bathrooms were excellent. Large lounge with countryside views and balcony; large well-equipped dining kitchen. Everything spotlessly clean; due to COVID checkin was via key box at front door but staff were attentive by text message. Lodges are set in 1000 acres in grounds of Slaley Hall hotel; golf buggies available (£70 per week charge) if required. Nearest main shops (Waitrose/Tesco) about 15 minutes/8 miles away in Hexham. Newcastle/Gateshead is about 30 minutes. We visited Alnwick Garden (1 hour); Seahouses/Beadnell (1 hour 20) and Vindolanda (30 minutes). Great location for walking/Hadrians Wall but quite a long drive to the coast. Nice local pub in Slaley village (5 minutes drive) for good pub food - Rose & Crown.

Great Accommodation and LocationBooked via Hoseasons, we stayed in a 3 bedroom "Derwent" lodge. The lodge itself was clean, spacious, quiet, warm and well equipped. All interaction with the reception team was done via telephone or text, and they were efficient, professional and attentive. The Slaley site itself is large with lots of walks and space to breathe. We used the pool (you need to book a time slot well in advance), driving range and played a round of golf. Again, staff were friendly and professional. All Out Adventures offers many activities and we did Quad biking (brilliant fun). We loved the golf buggy and enjoyed pottering about the site on it. Slaley is primarily for adults with the onsite spa and golf, so facilities for small children are limited (there is a tiny play park), but with Co. Durham and Northumberland on the doorstep, there are many options for day trips to please the children elsewhere. I recommend the Derwent reservoir, splashing about in the river at Stanhope or Bollihope Burn, a trip to one of the many fabulous beaches up and down the coast line, there are loads of National Trust properties to visit (Gibside, Wallington or Cragside) and not to mention, Hadrians Wall. Overall, we had a great stay at Slaley and will probably return.

ExceptionalLarge, clean, well furnished, spacious villa, Number 49, with the added benefit of access to Slaley Hall Hotel leisure and dining facilities. Great for days out in the local and wider areas. Will definitely be back!

FantasticWe stayed with extended family in Villa 3 which had wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. The lodge itself was amazing. Spotlessly clean with beautiful furnishings and exceptionally comfy beds. The staff at reception were very attentive and even though we had no physical contact they were super quick to help with any queries and we had everything we needed. The lodge was well equipped.... almost as good as your own kitchen. Plenty of plates etc for our extended family and the dishwasher was a real help (better than Centre Parcs!!) 2 fridges, oven, microwave, coffee machine and a sauna!! Even the WiFi was great. We hired a golf buggy which the kids loved and it was great for going up to the swimming pool and AllOut Adventures which is onsite (and great fun!) Good central location for shops and attractions. The east coast is about 1 hour away. Will definitely be back. We had a brilliant time.
