  Dont skip Skiper

  We have visited Skiper many times over the years, and we were happy to see upon our return this year that the resort is well maintained. The location is great with excellent views to Piran and Italy from a peaceful and quite location in the country side. The resort has a large family friendly pool as well a huge sundeck platform at sea side. The sea offers crystal clear water for swimming and diving. The appartment was well equiped with kitchen, two bathrooms and balcony. Resort has tennis courts, multi-sports court and golf for those that like that. The resort is expensive but you do get a higher quality than you do on the Umag side.

  Great stay and location

  Did a last minute reservation during our train vacation and hoped for the best. After booking we realized that it wasnt that easy to get to the hotel by train. But after mailing with the very helpful staff theyve arranged a driver that picked us up at Koper in Slovenia and drove us to the resort. Driver was excellent and the help from the hotel was really good and had speedy responses. Everyone in the reception was very helpful during the entire stay and helped us with any question we had including finding a way to get to the train station in Trieste in the day of our departure. The room was spacious and accommodated our family of four in a good way. However the room had a strange smell to it, most probably from being a smoker room in the past, or that someone had smoked despite the rules not to. The kitchen was good but some appliances where missing like kettle and toaster, but there where post and pans and most things you would require, however not to much. Some more cutlery and things would have been good. The room also had a air conditioner which was needed since it was very hot during our stay. The switches to the bathroom included a switch for the water tank which we noticed that we had switched of during day two, cold water only in the shower... But turning it on again lead to the water heating up pretty fast. Good balcony in our apartment with good space to take out the clothes rack in the room to dry our bathing suites. The pool area was very spacious with a lot of room for everyone even during a hot day. The pool was split in two parts, one for smaller children with just a 20-30 cm of water and one deeper at around 1.4 meters. The sides of the pool became pretty slippery after a while and it was easy to slip so bath slippers or gentle walking was required. The pool bar served drinks and easier snacks if you wanted. Both the pool and the sea side was only for guests at Skiper so it was required to have a card indicating that you where a guest. The seaside provided a big area of concrete beach with stairs down into the water. The stairs wasnt looked after so here it was pretty slippery as well with all the algae and seaweed growing on the steps. Lots of seats was available and we never had any issue with finding a spot to stay at. The water was great for snorkeling and it was pretty deep on the side to the sea, also was a shallow part as well but it was very small. Lots of interesting sites in the water, lots of fish, snails, crabs and hermit crabs which was fun and interesting for the entire family to experience. Didnt try the restaurants since we found good ones outside the hotel area so we cant say much about those.

  I don't know really, It seems better on the pictures but i won't say its bad :) i like the services, they are very kindly except on recepcion it was some arogant employee............................sorry it says 200 minimum

  Relaxed

  The resort is well kept and relaxed. The apartment was a good size but a little tired and dated. Room serviced daily - towels, bed made, dishwasher tablets. The one site shop is very expensive. Its possible to use the hotel next door. Some deals for the spa - which is a lovely spa. Pool was a good size but can get busy. But again very clean. Restaurant and pool bar are expensive

  Nice resorts with view and golf

  Next to Kempinski hotel. Super view over sea. Golf course and tennis nearby. Clean and confortable flat with air conditioning. Friendly staff at reception. Small shop for daily necessary. Wish stayed longer. About 1h from Pula airport by car.
