Great sunday to Monday stay, me and my girlfriend used a Sunday to Monday voucher just before lockdownOn arrival the car park was nice and clean and presentable, the front desk also was very nice and plenty of signage to help social distance. We stayed in the Marianne Antoinette suite which was very nice, clean sheets and a huge bed! The heated mirror and dual showers were a nice touch too. The spa treatments we received were great although we did feel the massages were a little softer than we were used to. The spa pool were good, although the pool was a little cooler than most indoor ones I have used. The sauna and steam rooms were perfect though. The heated jacuzzi was great, but the metal fence around the rim was very rusty and the bottom was full of what I could describe as sand. The pools interior felt a little outdated and could do with covering up the old painted walls and would look a lot more refreshing in a lighter tone, but keeping the Roman motifs (the columns) would be nice. By the pools jacuzzi there did appear to be a broken fixture on the column leaving an area for water to get in. The hallways to the rooms had carpets, they did look like they needed a deep clean, there were lots of bits in the floor that the hovers had missed, also the hand railings were sticky. The restaurant was the nicest part of the hotel, staff were great, although my vegitarian options were a little lackluster, I received rice and a chickpea curry, however it appeared to be microwaved as the curry sauce which was served in a dish also had rice in it. Started and deserts were great. The breakfast room was pleasent however, the 2 person table felt way too small for us to get everything leaving us a little uncomfortable. The food was nice but nothing special. I would stay again, but I think there are a couple of quick wins above that I feel could be addressed.

Avoid this hotel!Terrible experience, requested room service & didn't receive it 2 nights in a row but was still charged for it, requested the grab & go breakfast twice & did not receive it but was still charged for it, keycard keeps having to be reset as I keep getting locked out of the room & the final nail in the coffin - the TV stopped working!

Immaculate RoomReception staff were warm and friendly and very helpful talking through the new procedures. Brandon especially was very helpful and very polite. Room was stunning, massive, lovely views, lovely bathroom and a huge comfortable bed. Couldn't ask for more really. The restaurant was the only fall back for me slightly. I couldn't fault the food at all. It just took a bit longer than usual to be served. We sat down at 7:30 and finished at 10:20 after a main course and dessert. We spent a lot of time waiting to order and for food but the poor waitress Was clearly rushed off her feet and these were challenging times. The leisure facilities were great, the only thing i will say is the pool was a little colder than a usual indoor pool. When we next visit it would be nice to not feel rushed to get out the pool as it was cold. The hotel in general was lovely, kept very clean and tidy. Very easy covid secure path system. I'm very excited to have our wedding here next year in May!

Disappointed againI've stayed on a few occasions and wonder why I come back. Realise its cause of the pandemic. But this is no excuse, suite upgrade paid for with spa bath, not working. Food AVOID!! you will get cold expensive food in tubs, no plate and wooden cutlery! I stay 2 to 3 night a week in hotels. The ones that serve room service still. Bring your food on a tray, on a plate, hot, with cutlery. Not knock walk off and leave a paper back with tubs in and a bag of chips in on the floor and charge you £27 for it!! Unless you are desperate AVOID this place. I stayed one time and there was a fire in leisure centre. They sent everyone back to bed twice, before investigating and finding there was a fire. 2 fire engine turned up! Sleep safe guys
