  Beautiful views of the sea

  We were visiting Kaohsiung on a business-related visit to NSYSU - this hotel is right on campus and has excellent views of the sea. The breakfasts are very good with a good selection of food and again great sea views. The hotel is a little isolated but we found that walking through the NSYSU tunnel and down the street for 10-12 blocks takes you the the Kaohsiung metro station, which gets you everywhere in the city....taxis are another way to get around reasonably. The hotel is widely used for weddings on the weekends - they were interesting to see and ended early (at least compared to US evening weddings) so that noise wasn't a problem. There is a black sand beach there as well. The hotel could use a little updating but it is still a good place to stay.

  Excellent stay

  Visited during a family reunion trip and came away impressed . Location is away from the hubbub of the city, on a beautiful black sand beach and next to a college campus. About a 15 minute walk to the KRT station which some may find a bit long but for us it was fine. Room was clean, very spacious, and modern. We ate at the restaurant several times and the food was excellent with both Chinese and western options. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will come back again.

  Super friendly staff

  Very helpful and friendly staff. The night we checked in very late. They were having anti mosquito treatment at the hotel. We have a super friendly staff gave us towel and masks to cover. And also directed us to the beach at very late as our request.

  All together it was good.

  This place surely knew better days. All together it was good. Breakfast was fine The stuff is very very nice, English well spoken. The hotel is on a beach which you can't swim at and it is neglected. Its far from the center, you need a car or a taxi to visit the city. More of a wedding place. There was four in two days. So its not a "fun beach" hotel and not a "city hotel". But its ok.

  As advertised, right on the beach, next to the university

  We easily walked from the hotel up to Monkey Mountain (beware, they are not cuddly or cute). It was also a nice and pretty stroll to the harbor. Rooms were huge. Only drawback was they shut the whole place down pretty early, so you have to go off site for food/drinks etc.
