  Great place if you have small children

  The resort is made up of small prefab bungalows set amidst pine and eucalyptus trees. Although small, the bungalows are well thought out with a kitchen good bathroom and comfy beds. Crisp sheets and towels and excellent AC if you need it. Each bungalow has it's own little terrace but kids love the communal bar and entertainment areas at night. The only vehicles driving around are staff golf caddies so parents can relax and kids run free. Short walk to beach where there are small sailing boats and canoes and we even saw a dolphin on last day! Nice pool. Good choice if you want to mix up self catering with on site restaurant, the small town nearby has nothing to offer.

  Very good - but with a few flaws

  The resort is in very good condition and everything is nice and tidy. The bungalows are of pre-fab type with a "sterile" interior (see resort pictures) but are very functional and have comfortable beds. Very child-friendly. The beach is just on the other side of the resort beach gate and is exactly how it looks on the pictures: Spaceous (not over-crowded as many other italian beaches), grey-ish sand with some small round rocks just in the water-line. Staff is friendly and helpful even though a majority are only italian-speaking - but those that do speak english are good at it. The minimarket convenience store has better offerings and prices than what you would normally expect from such a "in-resort convenience store". Overall, I really liked the resort which gives good value for money. There are however a few "what the heck???"-things that prevent me from giving a higher rating: 1. The pool is closed between 1pm and 4pm. 2. The usage of swimming caps is compulsory in the pool. 3. There is no wine-opener in the bungalows, you have to ask for one at the reception and it has to be returned at the check-out 4. The sailing offering is lousy (despite nice sailing pictures on their website): They only have two ~4m sailing dinghies in poor condition (holes in main sail e.t.c.) and they only offer a 20 minute ride with an instructor doing all the sailing. Even when showing my collection of various sailing and navigation diplomas (I am a sailing boat owner), I was not allowed out sailing on my own.

  Summer holidays in Nova Siri

  We were in Sira Resort for one week last August. Amazing. Hoses well equipped, cleaned. Directly on the beach. We visited Basilicata from there, Matera beautiful and historic town; Dolomiti Lucane with amazingbAngel flightb (see website) Thank you guys, we will come again in the future.

  A fantastic place to relax for the whole family!

  I had the immense pleasure for the 5th time in a row to spend a wonderful week at this resort set in a huge pine forest on the beach! As always the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating! Our bungalows were in great condition with all the modern comforts one could wish for! We spent our days on the beach swimming, sunbathing, kayaking and sailing! The kids roam free in safe surroundings with the option of a kids club if they so desire! The food at the restaurant is delicious with lots of typical dishes from the Basilicata region to suit everyones tastebuds! I highly recommend this resort to families who wish to have a relaxing and fun holiday! Jodie Douglas -Rome/Sydney

  perfect holiday :-)

  We spent almost two weeks at the resort and really wished to stay longer!! Especially because of the lovely staff working there! The scenery of the resort is perfect. The bungalows are very clean, modern and in the middle of a beautiful pine wood just a few steps from the beach with crystal clear turquoise water. You can just relax or join lots of activities offering on the beach and within the resort. It's perfect for families. The whole resort including the beach is also suitable for disabled or older people in wheelchairs. You can buy everything you need in the little shops in the resort or in the small village (1km distance along olive and lemon trees) where you can find restaurants, supermarkets, banks and a fish shop. One day we went to Matera (1,5 hours by car/taxi) one of the oldest cities in the world and really stunning! Most of the guests in the resort are Italian which made us really feel on holiday and even if not everybody of the staff speaks English fluently (except the reception of course) they all have been enormously friendly, helpful and did everything to make our stay as comfortable, lovely and funny as possible. Therefore we want to thank especially the receptionists, the staff from the miniclub, from the bar and restaurant, from the animation and the wonderful photographer <3 We came as a stressed city family and left the resort relaxed and happy. All in all a perfect holiday and definitely worth for a second time!
