  Beautiful resort with fantastic staff

  We have spent one week at Simeri village with our two children, 10 and 12 years old. It has been a wonderful experience for all of us. We were looking for sun, clear waters, good italian food and fun activities. The resort offered all of that and much more. The TH staff is fantastic!! Very welcoming and warm and friendly. We truly felt part of a big family at the end of the week, including with some of the other guests. We have participated in tennis training (there are 6 (!) tennis courts), pilates, beach walking, aqua gym, adventure fitness, canoe, and soccer. All sports free of charge and hosted by talented and qualified instructors. We also took part in other fun games hosted by the TH crew at the beach and of course the show in the evening. A special thanks to Gloria, the fitness instructor who, with her clear instructions guided us through her various activities. Always focused and attentive to her participants performance. Also Christian, the soccer coach, is worth mentioning. With his smile he invites everyone to join the game and he has a very warm hand with everyone, no matter if you are a beginner or an experienced player, young or old. We experienced wonderful games in the soccer field (real grass!) with participants from various countries. We, and especially the children loved it! Also thank you to Francesco, the tennis coach, who is a highly qualified instructor who adjusts his instructions to the capacity of the player. Nico, the bartender, also made our stay a little more personal, always with a big smile, and a minute to chat with you. And then the evening show... wow! Every night something new, unexpected and entertaining. Thank you all TH crew for that!! Vincenzo and Roberto are really great entertainers! And finally the food - a big variety of choices at every meal. High quality overall and prepared with love.

  Perfect holiday for young family

  We stayed in TH Simeri in the last week of June with two children (2 and 4). Overall, I can only recommend!! .. but let´s go one by one: Location: The location is cca 50 minutes by bus from the airport. We arrived and departed on Friday and haven´t seen any traffic jam, so the travel was without any delays. Reception: Quick and friendly, at the arrival you get a bracelet to differenciate your type of catering. Be careful about the bracelet, it´s quality is poor and we managed to lose one within the first two hours after our arrival and the second one we didn´t lose only having luck to see falling it down from the wrist. At the reception you can get towels for the see (deposit 10 EUR / towel, rental 5 EUR / stay, 1 EUR for every change of the towel. Accomodation: The TH Simeri village is composed by many bongalows, from inside they are pretty newly refurbished, from outside they don´t look so new, but who cares.. Everything inside works well, incl. air condition. No issues at all. The cleaning ladies exchanged all the towels every day, which was nice and appreciated, Would be also great if they could pay some attention to the cleaning of the floor in the bungalow, as we always took some sand inside and it would deserve to wash it daily. But if they don´t care we go with dirty feets in the bed, neither do I.. The surrounding (grass etc. was well maintained, cut), you will see many lovely lizzards every day crossing your way :-) We had the bungalow which was most far from the village centre, it took cca 3 minutes to get us to the restarant and pools, no problem at all and comfortable walk through the village. Food, restaurant, catering: The catering (breakfasts, lunches, dinners was AWESOME! All compliments to the chef! Perfect pasta, seafood, pizza, sweet, pastry... I couldn´t have imagined better quisine, this is really great (and I am very demanding and critical what concerns food :-) ). The waiters are still around, bringing away the empty plates and very helpful. Overall the staff is perfect, but about it later on. The wine was not available in bottles but from a machine (some slightly sparkling wine), well refreshing, but the taste is missing a bit. No beers at all available for any meals, just at the pool and beach bar. Small children have available their own dining room (equiped with microwaves, special meals, small tables, chairs... very nice and it´s visible that they want to treat also small kinds very very nicely). What I see as a negative is that at the bars (pool bar and beach bar), you get (self service from a úppst mix machine) soft drinks in the 0,1 l plastic glasses. 0,1 litres?!? If you want to hydrate a bit, you need to go there several times, which is not convenient (and I don´t even say how many plastic caps you use per day). A beer you get in cca 0,2 l ca, similar story. This I see as a big possiblity for improvement, at least to have the choice how big cap you want.. Beach: The beach is cca 3 minutes far from the village centre, a comfortable sidewalk leads you there. At the entrance of the beach you find a bar with ice cream, limonade, beer, coffee. The beach is cca 50 % of soft sand, 30 % of coarse sand and 20 % of smaller stones (at the entrance to the sea). Although we had with us shoes for the sea, we didn´t use them even once. The sea was clear, warm enough, comfortable. At the beach there are several activities (beach volleyball, sea workout, foam party, games, .. a lot of fun). Quite gradual entrance to the see, OK also for smaller children. Fun and enternainement: When we were travelling there, I was expecting a bit boring holiday, not much to do, just nice sea and a pool. How I was wrong!!! There is still something to do. Chilren have a small swimming pool with small slides, then there is a big football pitch with real size goals, kids have a miniclub with friendly animators and many activities since morning till afternoon, tennis courts with artificial grass, evening mini disco and evening theatre, ... A day will be always too short :-) Staff: The staff is making this place so great. Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone - from the waiters in the restaurant, bartenders, miniclub guys, moderators. TH Simeri can be proud of their employees, thanks to them this is really great place to go to and the guest feels to be welcome. From us special thanks goes to Beatrice who always helped us with smile :-) .. that´s it.. If you are hesitating, do not any more and visit it there, You will not regret!
