  Brilliant base for gorilla trekking

  I stayed here for three nights and fulfilled every need for comfort, African ambience, dining, service and management. There seem to be about 10 rooms, probably all similar and providing full service. There is a central bar and outdoor (covered) pleasant seating and dining gives a choice of indoor and outdoor seating, main course usually two western style and one local dish, similar for entree and dessert. I can't rate value for money as it was part of a longer tour package.

  Look at the view

  Before you trek the gorilla's you look at the forest in awe and trepidation afterwards you sit with a glass of wine thinking I did it and knowing that the gorilla's you have hopefully just met are still in there. Enjoyed the birds knocking around. Yesy safe had an error code as well but they gave me a reset code to use so it was fine. Boot cleaning service available, but consider leaving boots and clothes which can be used by people who live there. If you have any niggles about the hotel consider where you are, how long it took to get there and the conditions people around you are living in. A superb place to end my stay in wonderful Uganda

  Highly recommend this lodge

  We stayed two nights at the lodge. We were greated with fresh cloths with which to wipe the days accumulated dust from our faces. There is a lovely veranda with mountain view and cool breezes. Meals were scheduled and served punctually. The kitchen is run by a skilled chef. I highly recommend the vegetarian offerings. Great place, professionally managed.

  Great Location - Stunning View

  Charles and his team including his reception staff give you a lovely welcome. Room, bathroom etc were all very adequate with breakfast and dinner being delicious. However sitting on the verandah looking onto Bwindi Impenetrable Forest was such a view and set you up for the trek to the gorillas. They give you a stick to help you with the trek which you really need to avail of. I left a lot of my trekking gear behind me - gloves/shirt/trousers. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to travellers particularly those that are trekking with Buhoma permits. To trek with the gorillas was just unreal. I can't recommend it enough. One of the most humbling experiences you will ever do.

  the view of bwindi is so beautiful from this place

  the complementary juice offered on arrival really quenches your thirst, and the campfire at night really brings you back to the traditional African setting, the food is really good and the view of the forest from silverback lodge is breath taking
