  Great service, beautiful beaches, and casual elegance

  My husband and I stayed at the Silver Sands back in 2007 when we got married, as did our wedding guests. Fast forward all these years later, and we went back for another stay at this lovely resort. First of all, Clint provided us with exceptional service, which is part of why we're continually loyal to this hotel over all of the other options. Secondly, the beach is beautiful and private, so you can relax and enjoy in peace. Plus the rooms are always sparkling clean, and the beds are super comfy. If you want to enjoy the splendor of Longboat Key in casual elegance without breaking the bank, this is your best bet. As a Florida local, this is my stamp of approval.

  Awesome views but dirty rooms

  We stayed here 2/21/19 - 2/26/19. We had awesome views from our room. The floor was filthy! I used towels to clean the floors; my feet were black just from walking across the room. The exhaust fan in our room was VERY loud, it took multiple days of bringing it to their attention before anything was done. The beds were terrible & the couch was broken down: both very uncomfortable. The pool was very nice.

  If you want to get charged double or triple this is your spot!!!!!!

  IF I could give a negative on the property management professionalism I would give a NEGATIVE 5 because they were way below a 1 and very unprofessional! I planned my stay at Silver Sands and was so excited because Longboat is my getaway spot. When I reserved my stay I was charged the deposit which I was okay with. Once I checked in I was charged the remainder balance, which is also fine. HOWEVER, I was not okay with getting charged double on top of that. When I brought it up to the management team at Silver Sands they were brushed it off like it was nothing. I got double charged in the amount of 502.48!!!! While it did take a little over a week for me to get my refund back, that is not what this is about. Its about how you care for your guests. Its how you speak to them, how you treat them and how you handle glitches. I understand that sometimes things like this can happen due to a computer world, its how its handled that is important. The management team as well as the staff behind the desk need to learn how to be more professional. Go take a class on professionalism.

  Beach vacation

  Loved the beach across the street and the view fro our room . The sunsets are absolutely beautiful . The rooms are like in the pictures . The staff is friendly and the breakfast is great with options to get you going .

  Awesome Getaway!

  Loved that it was right off the beach and we could enjoy walking along the beach mornings and evenings without driving on the busy roads! It was great to have private beach access! Loved the heated pool! Overall awesome week! Would definitely go back!
