  Fantastic in every respect!

  I cannot thank the staff of the Silk Road Hotel enough for a fabulous stay in Armenia. This amazing group of (mostly) young people made sure our every need was attended to. They are friendly, attentive, serious, committed. They gave us great advice where to go, where to eat and drink, where to buy, what to see. We learned a great deal about Armenian culture thanks to this special hotel-museum, particularly about carpet making. The room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The garden is a gem and it is a delight to sit there in the evening when a cool breeze is blowing. The breakfast is delicious, extremely generous and varied (we stayed for a week and every day there were different goodies). We also had dinner and drinks at the hotel several times and the food and wine were good and very reasonable. Perhaps the only slight drawback is that the hotel is a fairly short walk from the centre of town, but you soon get used to it and the many advantages make it worthwhile. Don't look any further, stay at the Silk Road Hotel when in Yerevan.

  Clean, Inexpensive, Secure Accomodations In Yerevan

  This hotel is run by a not-for-profit that promotes traditional weaving and other hand crafts. Ask the front desk when the artists will come to weave on the hand looms. Everything is clean and working. Rooms are up-to-date and well maintained. Entrance monitored 24x7 by front desk with entrance locked at night and video observation at all times. Bed is large and comfortable. Free WiFi too. Five minute walk from American University of Armenia and Marshal Baghramyan metro station. Less than half-hour walk to the Opera and fine dining in that area. Price is reasonable. Value for money is high. Buffet breakfast may be included in your room rate. There is an on-site restaurant for lunch and dinner.

  Homely friendly hotel

  Very capable credibly staff. Clean and good accommodation. Quiet at night. A place you can call home when in Yerevan. Very interesting restaurant area which also doubles as a handcrafting carpet maker. All staff have good English and are very focused on making sure you have what you want and are comfortable. Small but very well formed!

  beautiful and welcoming

  I spent one lovely night at the Silk Road Hotel in October and I wish I could have stayed for longer. My room was spotless and comfortable, and the public areas of the hotel, especially the garden, are attractive and peaceful. I loved seeing some women making rugs in the workshop and also being able to buy some traditional souvenirs right in the lobby of the hotel. I had to leave before breakfast was served but the coffee and sweets I enjoyed in the afternoon were delicious. The hotel is located in a residential neighborhood, a pleasant walk from some of the main shopping streets of Yerevan.

  Charming, relaxing location in Yerevan

  The Silk Road Hotel was our home away from home while we spent two weeks in Armenia. The hotel staff were all very helpful. The room was clean, the decor was historic and charming, not cold like so many other hotels. The breakfasts were very good and satisfying. It's terraced garden is a great place to invite guests and share a beer and some snacks in the afternoon. It amazing to see artisans at work weaving rugs while we were having breakfast.
