  Disappointing, they really need to step it up a notch.

  Firstly there are no porters to assist you upon arrival. Secondly the staff at reception need refresher training. Some of them will never go the extra mile to assist you. What happened to customer-centricity??? Thirdly the rooms smell like cigarette. Fourthly the bathrooms are not cleaned properly. The breakfast was the only decent part of our stay.

  POOR ADVERTISEMENT FOR SUN HOTEL GROUP

  As many reviews have highlighted, the service levels leave much to be desired. Luckily we were dropped off at the hotel and even though the ads for the hotel indicate a shuttle service (at a cost), this is non existent, even at the casino. Breakfast was standard fare, with nothing to write home about and trying to get a drink at the bar, was like trying to get water out of a stone. The room linen was clean but there was algae around the hand basin - not good for ones health. On the bright side, the manager (Mr Moodley?) went out of his way to sort out a predicament we found ourselves in and was extremely accommodating and helpful in this regard. If the rest of the staff could match his enthusiasm, most of the problems would not exist. What a pity, as the hotel is in close proximity to the airport and reasonably priced.

  Very disspapointing stay

  The lodge in general is neat. But I found the staff at reception unfriendly. The rooms are VERY basic. There are no 2 pins, making it difficult to charge any modern day tech. No fridge in the room. Coffee/tea station didn't have tea spoons. All little stuff that are excepted for standard hotel accommodation.

  Disappointing service

  We recently stayed at the lodge and was very disappointed with the service, there is NO customer service at all at this place. Asked for an iron at 7 am waited for an hour no response. Eventually walked around and located an iron left in passage. Went to reception at 10:30 asked them about the iron was told all are out, noticed a iron and a board kept close to the reception area. Questioned this and received a blank look. On our arrival we had a trolley full of stuff, the guy saw me battling to hold the door open and push the trolley into the hotel he just sat there smiling, the security guard stood there trying not to look. Looking at all the comments on this platform it seems it is a norm at this hotel and nothing is done about the poor service. Found ants full on the seat at breakfast , notified the waiter all she said was we will get someone to attend to it. We had our breakfast and still no one addressed the issue. Reminded her again and all she said they are coming . Terrible service

  Sibaya Lodge

  Very run down. No fridge in the room. Holes on the curtains and carpets were very worn. Not recommended at all. We had an interleaving room with a door between us and the people next door. We heard everything they were saying. We heard their child crying at 12 o clock at night. So flippen frustrating when you are trying to sleep. A very expensive place for so few nicities
