  Wow. Must try. Great food

  Now I have been harsh on this place in past reviews, but its had a make over and the food is delicious !! Its a must try on the Eastern shore, I have been 3 times in a month and every time has been great. Well done Shoreline Hotel on turning this into the best eatery on the eastern shore.

  Melbourne Cup 2020

  Third year at Shoreline for Melbourne Cup - not coming back!!! Appreciate there are Covid restrictions but to not have a fashion parade of some of the lovely outfits and to randomly hand out nominations to people when the winner has already been decided was inexplicable. Also having tea and coffee not included in the price was disappointing at best. The lack of sweeps and mystery prizes really detracted from the day and contributed to what seemed to be a bit of a non event !! Overall very disappointed return patrons:(

  Great reception and pleasant bar staff.

  Havent been here for 12 months. Welcome was warm. We were shown to a reserved table and offered drinks. Good service. Ordered loin of lamb medium rare. Arrived as requested. Very small serve and minus mash subsequently provided. Very expensive for the size of meal. The dessert Honey Panna Cotta was underwhelming.

  Don't stay here - we did try!

  On initial review online this place looked promising - good size room, close to the water and very reasonably priced. However, on our arrival there was mass confusion. The staff firstly left us waiting at the counter while they finished their conversation then, when eventually acknowledging us, were unable to find our booking, insistent it was because we had cancelled it despite the fact that we had confirmed the booking via email and had received a written confirmation from the hotel in reply only a day prior. The staff continued on to say they were fully booked and could not help us in any way. There was no offer to to assist us in finding a bed elsewhere, nor any other compensation for their stuff-up. I wouldn't recommend this place if you require a secure reservation on arrival.

  Very average

  Went there with high expectations. Well, this was a disappointment. It supposed to have been refurbished to attract a better type of people. But in the wash up its still the same. Its a overpriced, operated pub. Still letting the type of punters who you would expect at McDonald's. A perfect example, was when a table of 4 seated at close proximity to my wife and I. They looked like something from a less desirable area. But more confronting was the weird smell coming from someone on that table. Sorry guy's, but to put it bluntly Take a long hard look at how things are done over there.
