  Wonderful Onsen hotel wonderful cuisine and wonderful service

  I had a most relaxing two days at this wonderful private onsen hotel with stunning service and stunning Japanese cuisine. The scenery, the rushing river outside my private onsen is really beautiful and I never get tired of just staying by the veranda of the room looking at the beautiful scenery. I had a very spacious room of 90sq.m and I always stayed in suites in hotels over the yearss, this is a wonderful size room. The Japanese degustation dinner (Keiseki is of course a pleasant surprise every night as is their breakfast every morning. We love our housekeeper Miss Abe San. There is nothing she would not do for the guests, service is just outstanding. I will be back again not for two nights but I need to stay here for one week to fully relax and recover.

  Great Onsen experience

  Good service. Food is super delicious. River view is fantastic. We stayed in a standard room which is face to riverside. The view is beutiful and peaceful. I like sit on chair do nothing and just enjoy river view. Quality of food is great and delicious. I think their chief put a lot effort on it. There is no private Onsen in standard room. So we used public Onsen. Change room is clean and big enough. Two Onsen pool, one inside and one outside. All pool are comfortable. They made my stress go away. Travel Advice

  A good hotel with hot spring which is situated alongside the river with great view

  For this trip, my husband and I usually chose to stay at one of the rooms which was equipped with a hot spring bath. We were very delighted to see a lovely view of the river from the large window the moment we were ushered into the room. The en-suite bathroom had a small round bathtub that contained the same hot spring, which was also available from the public bathroom in the hotel, but there was also a stunning view from the bathroom and the window could be opened if you wished. We were just happy to have a bathroom of our own with easy access to open air if you opened the window. The staff were very friendly and explained everything we needed to know about staying at this hotel from the location of the public bathroom to breakfast time and place. The dinner was brought in by a very friendly staff and the food was full of seasonal and local produces and very tasty. We were stuffed after the dinner. The staff also explained that we could get free drinks like tea and coffee from the lounge up to 11pm, but we were also provided with the tea/coffee making machine anyway. The only little snag was that it was one of those modern gadget that use a little pod containing the essence of tea and coffee. It was very strong when I made them using this machine. However we loved the hot spring in the bathroom - it was nice and cosy and I could enjoy the view of the nature at the same time. It was heaven. I also went to the public bathroom to compare and there was an open air pub too for men and women. It was equally good but a bit lukewarm for me. It In terms of the surrounding area outside the hotel, it would help if you drove a car so that you could explore more around the area. We didn't have a car, so we took a JR bus from Nasu Shiobara to this hotel ( the journey was about 45 minutes), but it was easy to get off at the right stop as one of the bus stop was for this hotel. It was a shame we only stayed one night, but I think we had a wonderful memory of this place.

  Amazing view and excellent service

  I stayed at this inn with my friend in Nov 2019. As soon as you step in the inn, the nice smell of incense welcomes you. In the lounge, you first have some tea and sweets. The entire building is not very large, but all rooms face the river and the creek through large picture windows. The staff was all very nice, polite, kind, friendly, and helpful. Traditional Japanese meals were just fantastic both dinner and breakfast, which you eat at the privately sectioned eating areas on the ground level. Hot spring bath was cozy but clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed this inn. The only thing I want to warn is that this inn is not located in the center of the hot spring village, and you need to get on the bus for a few stops unless you have your own car. 201911
