Run down, overpriced hotel that tries to charge you extra at every opportunity possible.Run down, overpriced hotel that tries to charge you extra at every opportunity possible. In short, I would not recommend. They need some serious staff training, especially the front / reception desk ladies. Facility is super old, desperate need for renovation. No transport available to and from the hotel - only once a day shuttle bus. So you are pretty much stuck at the hotel with their crazy restaurant prices. Buffet menu is always the same, every day. The front desk ladies are especially not helpful and passive aggressive. They all look like they dont want to be there or something. I would NEVER come back here.

A medium but well-thought hotel for skiiers~ i stayed in late Feb/early March 2019, the price of room is surprisingly affordable (28200 per room for 3 nights, room only) ~ everyday, in the hotel there are 2 restaurants opened, one is the room hall for buffet breakfast and dinner ( reasonably wide variety of food, around 5 dishes of western style, 5-8 dishes of local special, 8 of other typical Japanese food, every night there will be roast/pan fried beef, crab legs, around 4500yen per head) ~ the western restaurant on the ground floor (1/f in japan style) is a very high quality one in terms of both food and service. they serve 2 sets (no a la carte in my stay), one have more food than another, price is ~6400 to 8400yen which is extremely money for value and a must try. ~ there is 2 small restaurants in ticket counter and the hill, so food have a bit more variety than similar stalls in other japanese ski resorts and the food are very delicious. ~ in weekends and holiday, the bistro which is next to the carpark (a metal hut) would open. we have not tried as we left in weekend, but that provide one more choice. ~ in weekend there is japanese style sobert served free of charge at the rental area. ~ the toilet paper is much thinker than the normal thin paper-felt toilet paper, which reflect the basic quality of the hotel ~ i stayed in the most basic room, space is just made for two person with luggages and ski bags ~ a real ski in ski out hotel, one only have to walk 10 steps to the ropeway/ticket station ~ shuttle bus schedule is not very frequent but sufficient for those without car (just like us) ~ the gorcery/gift stalls has a LOT of stuff and food to buy ~ one can book cat ski tour for ungroomed skiing in weekends on the slope previoudly hosting FIS race (3000yen) ~ sees also has night tour by cat car to watch stars ~ a 500yen cash coupon for no clean up service per 2 days, which csn be used even to pay in restaurants

Weekend of SnowboardingThe facilities are a little dated but if you're here for the ski resort, you can't beat the location. A medium sized ski area, it was a very good value. The hotel has lockers and easy access to the lift/gondola. Food options are limited but Morioka Mall or Koiwai Farms is less than 30 minutes away. They have massage services, karaoke, equipment rentals, and buffets. The onsen was small but nice with Koi fish in the pond which makesit look like an infinity pool. There was night skiing on Saturday.

Splendid hotel with wonderful viewThis hotel is hard to reach but well worth the effort. We hired a car from Morioka which helped however the hotel does pick up from the local train station ( Sizukuishi ) if they are given sufficient notice. Our room was on the top floor ( 9 ) and over looked the snow capped mountains. The room was large and the window could be opened for fresh air. There are hot spring fed baths with fish swimming closeby on a slightly lower water level. Breakfast and dinner were first rate though a little expensive. Rooms were very clean with nice linen and firm comfortable beds.

Sterile, tucked awayCame here with the family and in-laws for a few days end of July. It's tucked away so you will definitely need a car to move around. End of July means many insects even when the weather is abnormally cool for this period. Breakfast is pretty much the same thing everyday if you are going for Western food. Onsen was ok.
