Enjoyable onsen and comfortable roomsCheck-in and general service was friendly and prompt. It is a huge hotel, so there are many tour groups and guests. The room is huge and clean. Besides two beds, there is a couch, coffee table and a balcony. The bathroom even provides cleansing milk, facial wash etc. The location is a bit inconvenient, it is on top of a hill. About 10 minutes walk to the nearest public bus stop. We made the mistake of not getting the room plus dinner deal. There are only 2 restaurants in the hotel, one Japanese, one international buffet. The Japanese restaurant doesn't accept walk-in, and the dinner buffet cost 6,000 yen per person. Luckily, we brought some bread and instant noodles. So please bring cup noodles and other foods, just in case! Alternatively, have dinner in the town area and take a cab back to the hotel. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and hot baths. I liked the outdoor bath, it is surrounded by trees. Very serene environment. After the hot bath, you can enjoy chilled cassis drink, green tea etc, at the waiting area. Breakfast was sumptuous. Plenty of Japanese and western choices. The food tastes fresh and good too. But the breakfast buffet is very crowded, so be prepared to wait in line for the hot dishes. It was a nice stay in general.

Wonderful stay with fantastic faciltiesWe loved our high level room at 8 floor with a gorgeous panoramic bay view. Being a picky eater, my husband was impressed by the spread of the dining buffet. We were treated both visually with an impressive presentation and the palate with very good quality food. The onsen facilities are also equally impressive with no less than two large bathing areas, one outdoors and indoors. You do not need to bring your own room towels to the onsen as they provide ample supplies. Having been to several onsen hotels this is one of the best ones we have visited as the amenities provided are excellent coupled with a good spread of skin care products to put on after the onsen. We are already planning to come back for a longer stay to enjoy the full fledged facilties of the hotel.

Disappointed!I stayed two nights at 701. Here is not classic Japanese hot spring hotel. Here is no in-room dining service, And at restaurant I had to select only two option 5:30 or 7:30 pm. Hotel said 701 is a corner suite ,but acutely this room level was only cheap business hotel room. And WIFi was very weak, couldnt connect at all. Worst thing was transfer bus driver, his service was miserable, No greetings,No support of carrying customer luggage ,and No safety drive. Hot spring was not so bad,and except that driver, everyone tried to serve a good service. But first impression is very important, so never make that driver do a transfer service.

Location ProblemLocation: middle between JR station and the beach, on top of a small mountain, 6-8 mins walk from the closest bus stop shuttle service provided by hotel is limited but it matched JR train schedule Room: very spacious, with balcony overlooking the bay area, clean, well-equipped, comfortable bed, tea bags and snacks provided Facilities: outdoor pool only opens from July to August, indoor pool only opens for 1.5 hours in the morning, pools are great but the opening period should be extended onsen (hot spring) has both indoor and outdoor section, nice view, clean facilities there is a park with lights and decorations, which is beautiful at night Breakfast: great varieties with western and japanese style, taste is not bad Dinner: japanese ryori set dinner, simply exceptional! definitely worth trying Staff: nice and friendly, restaurant staff is unable to communicate in english, but body language always works Tips: go for the package "1 night, 2 meals (breakfast and dinner)"
