Nice but tired resortThe resort is very nice, but carpet and decor needs renovations. The place is very clean, and the staff are excellent, polite and helpful. We ate at the restaurant that night and food was food. Before the tour bus left, the staff lined up by the doorway to bid farewell.

Breath of fresh airWhat a wonderful setting close to Tokyo but you would not know it. Nice Onsen and wonderful grounds. The staff are very attentive and the facilities are what you would expect for the price. I understand they have an imperial suite, but we did not stay there.

Pleasant stayThe resort is very clean and staff is very friendly. Beautiful cherry trees lined the entrance and it was cherry blossom time. Dinner was good, we had the all-you-can-eat crab legs and bento dish. The spa was nice with the waterfall and warm water. Very friendly staff they waited in the rain for our tour bus to leave and then gave us a friendly send off.

Tried and True JapanMy wife and I stayed there five nights, and our son and his wife stayed three. The newer tower where check-in, lobby and restaurants are, and where my son stayed, has rooms that are more western in appearance---at least that was his room on the 11th floor. My wife and I stayed in the older tower. There the bathrooms are very small---one steps up about a foot to get in---and each room has a taiyama eating area. I found our room very comfortable. My wife thought the bed was too hard, but I slept on it fine. Each room has a balcony. If you stay in the newer tower and the weather is clear, you'll get a fabulous view of Mt. Fuji. We ate breakfast and dinner in three different restaurants. All the food was excellent, and as one would expect in Japan, the service was exceptionally responsive and polite. It is true, as some have posted, the older tower needs to be cleaned up a bit on the outside so that it doesn't look run down. Nevertheless, our room in the older tower was nothing but clean and modern.

Wonderful spa more than expectationCOVID-19 Nothing but their spa is the reason to choose this hotel as for biz trip to near there. Few operations were not good as expected, e.g. however their staff said their Chinese restaurant is opening when I asked due to worry about COVID-19 limitation, it was closed at the end. Finally, they provided food package and I could have it at own room. I anyway could enjoy the spa where is smelling cypress, amazing smell even though few decades past since established. Also outside bath jacuzzi is so nice, viewing trees from the jacuzzi makes me relax. In case I have an opportunity to go to around there on business, I would choose here to stay again for the spa.
