  What a gem

  Stayed for two nights Wish it could have been longer Wilderness is a beautiful area but we didnt want to leave the fabulous balcony attached to our room The view was gorgeous watched the dolphins swimming past Jon made us so welcome along with the pooches Standard was excellent room clean breakfast amazing beautifully decorated Jon arranged some lovely restaurant choices for us If you get the chance make this your stop in wilderness

  Fabulous views

  We recently (November 2019) spent two wonderful nights at Shining Waters, a lovely bed and breakfast location in Wilderness along the Cape's Garden Route. Our room was lovely and bright, and the views from all windows were breathtaking. A very comfortable bed, and the room was also equipped with the makings for coffee and tea. A full breakfast was included, with hot items made to order as well as fresh local fruits and made-that-morning madeleines.We had our breakfast on a lovely patio overlooking an inviting pool. Jon is a wonderful host, and he and his staff were so friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back again!

  Paragliding in January 2020

  Second year in a row at Johns shining waters for paragliding in Wildernes with some friends. And again it was a really nice time there. Everything was clean and breakfast every day with a view to the sea at Johns breakfast deck. After Paragliding the landing beer at the pool.... what can be better? Happy to know Shining Water and having John and his two lovely Dogs as friends now. We will be back! If you want to have a great time with the possibility to start and land right in front of you house that is the place to go. But it is also a good place to start daily tours to nice places around Wildernes or even Knysa or Tsitsikama. You can reach also the Knysna Elephant park and outshoorn safari park.

  Lovely stay

  Had a great stay at Jons place. He was a wonderful welcoming host with a great sense of humour. Our room was spotlessly clean and delightfully decorated with views over the ocean and even dolphins swimming right out in the bay. The pool area is a little haven of tranquility and great for dip on a hot day. The breakfast provided was amazing and the little madeleines a light and fluffy treat. Jon recommended some great places for dinner for which I will write a separate review. Overall two very happy travellers and would return here in a heartbeat.

  Wonderful relaxing stay

  We stayed with Jon for a week in February - made to feel very welcome. Our room was spacious, clean and the view was stunning. Heaven. Jon was so kind arranging taxis and restaurant bookings as well as local information. Lovely welcoming pool. We could not have stayed anywhere better for the last week of out holiday in S A. Hopefully we will be able to return again.
