  Not quite home away from home

  I'm all for supporting "mum and dad" investors by staying in their units over staying in a hotel. A lovely setting, great proximity to the hustle and bustle but far enough away for peace and tranquility. Lovely furnishings (on par with a "BoysTown house"), but lacking in an Australian essential.. The BBQ. In fact, this is why I rate it lower than I'd like to. There weren't any containers to put our prawns in before putting in the fridge or serving platters, (for salads etc). Or a decent pan for cooking steak/salmon in and as previously stated no BBQ. As a sufferer of food allergies, eating out isn't always an option. So I have to cook. Toiletries were provided and acceptable. Toilet paper excellent! A little bin in the bathroom for cotton buds would be nice. I would stay here again, but it's the small things... They need to be looked at.

  Glad it was a short stay!

  Everything seems quite new but the couches were TRASHED. Massive stains including some sort of red stain not to mention the most uncomfortable thing I have ever sat on in my life. All other furniture items were ok. Asked for a cot. On arrival we came across the porter cot in a bag with a sheet dumped on top of it on the flood! It was broken, upon departure this was relayed so we did not relieve the charge of $30 per night I might I add. The guy at the front desk had the hide to argue with my husband that it takes half an hour to setup... Ahhhh yeah right! Not my problem mate should I tell you how to do your job? Aaaaaaaaand asked us to leave a review. Well here you go!

  Overnight stopover.

  Very nice, clean spacious accommodation. Handy (walking distance) to small Aldi shopping centre. With Take-away Italian Restaurant and coffee shop and the Brightwater Hotel. You can book overnight, weekly, monthly accommodation and the units are self contained with lockup garage and room for second car near entrance. We booked only overnight as were travelling up the coast - our unit could accommodate 2 couples easily. It had an open plan kitchen/dining room/lounge downstairs with TV and 2 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and TV room upstairs. The Brightwater Hotel nearby is perfectly situated on a small lake - great ambience and delicious food. On,y downside to anyone visiting the coast for a holiday is that it is not close to a beach.

  Shine on Brightwater Apartments were great

  Looked the townhouses at Shine - large 3 bedroom with all the modern furniture we were visiting family near by so the location was great. Not walking distance to the beach you need a car at least 10 mins drive but great family friend hotel walking distance overlooking the man made lake.

  Consider this accommodation - well worth your stay

  If you have a car, and staying on the Sunshine Coast, this could be the accommodation for you. About 10 minutes inland by car, but easily accessible, is Brightwater - a new modern community development. Part of this is a series of gated apartments, many of which are available for holiday rental. We stayed only one night as we were passing through, but wished it had been longer. New and clean accommodation that is nicely furnished. A local hotel and Aldi are close to meet those needs. Definitely consider this accommodation if you do not need to be within walking distance of the coast.
