HORRIFICI would not recommend ANYONE to EVER stay in this hotel. The list of problems we encountered were vast and so I feel it's better to bullet point them: - there were hairs all over the room - the head board on the beds were cracked - the sealants in the bathroom were green and disgusting - the shower was stained and contained many tiny insects - the sheets were extremely marked with brown and black stains - no wardrobe or drawers to store clothing - stains all over the walls, brown, red, black, you name it the colour was there... - the window was so unclean it was impossible to see out of it - strange men lurked in the corridors - the smell of smoke was atrocious - one night someone tried our door multiple times to break into the room - the towels were covered in foul stains - the area is not the safest, I certainly wouldn't return late at night - it's a 20 minute or so walk from Jinsong subway - the toilet flooded on the last night which was the final straw it was vile - none of the staff spoke any English so was extremely hard to check in and were only given one key, not ideal for a group of people - there is an extremely steep and slippery ramp at the entrance to the hotel which was terribly dangerous to attempt to pull a suitcase up and down. (The other option is extremely steep steps). It would be very difficult for someone in a wheelchair to access. - it's also rather laughable that a photo contained within the lift shows a clean and pleasant room, not at all representative of reality sadly. For this reason we were forced to move hotel in the middle of the night when the toilet flooded and we moved to the Mercure Dowtown which was fabulous and I would highly recommend it! You could argue that for £27 a night you get what you are given, which yes fair enough. But I would expect basic hygiene levels to be maintained which they were not, it was a traumatic experience.
